Yes. Because what he wrote was ridiculous. He literally called her kiddo. KIDDO? What the actual fuck?? He had the unmitigated gall to tell the incoming First Lady of the United States to not use a title she EARNED. This is absolutely a worthwhile thing to be discussing. That guy should lose his job over this. And whoever at the WSJ that allowed it to be published.

Of course it was ridiculous. The whole piece, and it's basic argument, was stupid.

But now it's subject to national debate, it's on tv, it's even being debated on college hockey forums. Yea!

If I were High School Graduate Sean Hannity I wouldn't go around drawing too much attention to other people's degrees and titles.

As I told you before, the ignorance, condescension, and misogyny of the party you support, and its supporters, "intellectuals" and media personalities is.
 
Oh man, liberal twitter is fucking p-ssed about this. They just reflexively hate Pete. They keep asking about his qualifications. When you're running a department or even a massive project, your relevant experience is leadership and ability to execute. His job is to execute the collective policy of the Biden Admin and provide counsel when needed. I feel like Pete is going to be surrounded by experts. Plus he needs relevant experience.

Prior SoTs (ignoring Trump):
  • 4 US Reps
  • 3 Fed Highway Admins
  • Mayors of Charlotte, Denver, Portland, South Bend
  • Deputy Sec of Transp
  • Business consultant
  • US Attorney
  • FTC Chair
  • Lawyer
  • Oil executive
So... five had relevant experience (one of the reps was on the Transport Committee) since 1967.
