WCHA vs tRest

Re: WCHA vs tRest

Every year?
Maybe you just mean the last 4 years. Which by my count is not every.

WCHA still has 5 of the last 10 titles.

True, but in the last 5, they have only 1.

Once the Big 10 HC comes, the WCHA is going to be competely demasculated, so I guess WCHA fans have to get this silliness in while they still can.

For the record, my conference sucks and probably always will.

Losing two teams that won't even get home ice this year will just kill the WCHA. Next thing you know UAA and Mankato will leave.

Re: WCHA vs tRest

I dont understand this "our conference is better" stuff coming from the WCHA fans. Every year, the WCHA boasts to be the best, has some impressive results in the season, and gets stomped on in the NCAAs and Frozen Four. It will likely be the same case again this year.

You forgot that the best Eastern teams always get those real easy Eastern Regionals, while the best Western teams end up in the regions of death. It is a lot easier to end up in the FF, and win it all when all you have to do is beat some weaker eastern teams, and then some Cinderella, because the Western teams have beat the hell out of each other. The path from the East is always easier.

Soooo, then using your reasoning, wouldn't the "weaker" eastern teams get exposed by the western teams in the Frozen Four? Is it the east's fault that UND couldn't beat Yale? That Denver couldn't beat RIT?

In the recent past, didn't Holy Cross go out west to beat Minnesota? Didn't BC go out west and beat Wisconsin in 2000 and UND in 1999?

Bottom line is your point is silly at best and your argument has as many holes as Kangas does in his game...

It always amuses me that Onion Man, a fan of a total dog of a team, is always involved in these conversations. Typically riding the coat tails of BC.

Has nothing to do with any school. You want to bash the east, show some evidence. The East owns college hockey right now. You guys want to have a WCHA circle jag, go for it. Just add some facts to your babble.

Oh, and for the record. I'd rather be a fan of a "dog team" from a real University than an annual overrated team (this year again) from a "school" such as UND that is on par academically with an average New England public high school.

Re: WCHA vs tRest

Academics is an ivy league argument. "we suck at sports, but we are smrt!"

It has no place in this discussion.

Well, to my intellectual superior on this forum, you should know that "overrated" is a verb, and that the word "annual" is and adjective. The use of adjectives go with these other things in the English language syntax called "nouns." You were using "annual" to describe the word "overrated" while addressing an action to the noun "team." You should have used the word "annually." You see, the ly at the end of the word moves it from an adjective to an adverb. And adverb is a word used to describe an adjective.

You see, this is why the whole "smarter than you" argument goes nowhere. You're going to make mistakes. Hell, I probably just made one or two myself. It's a no-win situation and makes a pathetic argument. Face it, your team sucks, and so does the EZAC, on the whole.

With your St. Cloud degree and superior command of the english language, you'll make some Ivy League graduate a fantastic personal assistant someday.

ps- Brown has been to a Frozen Four. Has your school?

Re: WCHA vs tRest

My school sucks at hockey, but I paid a whole bunch of money to go to it, so I'm smart now! Plus your team, while much better than my team, lost a game last year and therefore they suck. The east, I mean Boston, is dominating hockey right now. This means that overall the east is better. Because two teams, an entire region makes.

Meanwhile you are advocating an argument that the west is better than the east because two WCHA teams (neither of which is yours) have won national titles since 2004.

So my lesser education and I'm still right. Go me!
