Re: WCHA Thread IV

Any thoughts for Defensive Player of the Year? That one isn't obvious.
I know that this award isn't about just scoring by defensemen, but I thought that was a good starting point...
Code:
Defenseman Scoring: GP PPG G- A- P
  1 Rachel Ramsey Minnesota JR D 36 1.06 10-28-38
  2 Milica McMillen Minnesota SO D 34 1.03 10-25-35
  3 Sara Schmitt Ohio State JR D 36 0.78 7-21-28
  4 Courtney Burke Wisconsin SO D 35 0.74 5-21-26
  5 Kari Schmitt Ohio State JR D 35 0.66 9-14-23
  6 Lara Stalder Minnesota Duluth FR D 27 0.81 4-18-22
      Gracen Hirschy North Dakota FR D 34 0.65 9-13-22
      Lauren Barnes Minnesota State SR D/F 37 0.59 5-17-22
  9 Sidney Morin Minnesota Duluth FR D 35 0.40 5- 9-14
      Megan Wolfe Minnesota FR D 35 0.40 3-11-14

I think any of the top 5 would be suitable selections (though, of course, my homer pick would be one of the top two ;) ).

Tough league when a PK 10 finalist can't make 1st team WCHA. Congrats to the WCHA All-Team Honorees.

Sounds like UND has a pretty good support section...with the relatively short commute.

Couple of huge saves from Amsley-Benzie to keep it scoreless so far.

Expected more intensity from NoDak out of the gate...fighting for your NCAA life and all.

Shelby is definitely the reason its still scoreless. UND could up the pressure a bit, I suppose!

The noise is predominantly coming from the UND band. Not many fans beyond that.
