WCHA Playoffs

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Is anyone bringing a band? UMD?
I expect to see UMD's pep band at Ridder. I found their schedule online, and they have that on the calendar.

I would not be surprised to see BSU's "Redline Swingers" pep band either. Their basketball teams are both done, and the Beaver mens hockey team is on the road.

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Okay.... got the wcha.tv streaming all fine and nice and right before the end of the 2nd, it crapped out on me.

I closed the browser and came back and oddly, the homepage for the site had changed. Completely. From moments earlier. And I can't stream it. Sad. Over to live stats and blog I guess.

The Gopher/Ohio State third period was one of the funnest non-UMD periods I've seen in the women's game. The last 8:05 of the third..back and forth..answer for answer was great.

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Funny that noone posted about that game yet.. they must be asleep!

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Since we're talking about bias.. my pics from UMD/BSU.. with the UMD perspective... will get the Minnesota/OSU ones up tomorrow night .. probably after doing championship game pics.

Friddy's second goal .. notice Elam in the perfect position.. (I gotta be nice to a ref once a year right?)

Re: WCHA Playoffs

For anyone who's up in the middle of the night and/or missed either of yesterday's games, it looks like the WCHA finally got their act together and the video feeds are archived on their website at www.wcha.com

Re: WCHA Playoffs

The last time these two teams met in the championship ...

Findlay still had a program;
North Dakota was an independent;
forget 6 teams in the league tourney, Hockey East only HAD 6 teams;
UMD's roster included Jenny Potter and Gopher fan favorite Tricia Guest;
fans of both teams were trying to convince the rest of the country that the Badgers really were good.

I hope today's game makes the wait worthwhile.:)

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Well, crud.

ARM & WCHA.com said:
... televised taped delayed on FSN North... The Minnesota-Ohio State game will be carried March 19 @ noon.

Still, the replay is a must see. My old-fashioned VCR is still humming along, so that will be the modus operandi.

I've got to wonder, though, if they're going to be able to present the whole game. If memory serves, the WCHA Men have a little get together planned for 2:00 that same afternoon. The Final Five is generally carried live on FSN North.

Our game sounds like it was an epic. If you get wind that FSN has revised the schedule, can you repost?

Oh wow, I can't believe it's been so long.

And back then, Mark Johnson was practically begging for the committee to let Wisconsin into the NCAA tournament so that it could have some "fresh blood." Wow.
