Regardless...

It was a DUMB and STUPID hit and at a horrible time. Doesn't matter if it was a Sioux, Minnesota, Denver player....it was stupid.

Frattin's hit was not at all like Marvin's. This was face to face and a pretty ordinary charging actually. 5 major was borderline and that is certainly not worthy of a suspension. But this is the WCHA, their decisions are always sort of ***??

It should have been a misconduct, anytime leave your skates and make contact like that....you are asking for a misconduct call. Blatantly foolish and reckless play.

It wasn't "ordinary charging". He left his feet *and* hit Wehrs in the head. If he merely left his feet without the contact to the head, it's a 2 minute charging. Since he did both, it's a major penalty and probable suspension.

Yeah..ordinary in that he looked like he lept off a trampline into Weirs head...who is no longer on the bench by the way

Officials better hope this game stays close...if it turns into a rout...we could see some major ugliness.:(

Marvin would have been completely innocent, if he would have been a UND player, anyway.
