WCHA Final Five Quarterfinals - BSU vs. UMD: Time to make some top hats!

Re: WCHA Final Five Quarterfinals - BSU vs. UMD: Time to make some top hats!

the school of the blind, the school of the deaf, and the school for paraplegics.

You are really messed up. Those are the schools that the WCHA refs attended.

Re: WCHA Final Five Quarterfinals - BSU vs. UMD: Time to make some top hats!

The difference is that there are 120 D-I football teams. It would be like UMD playing in a conference with the school of the blind, the school of the deaf, and the school for paraplegics, and getting an auto bid.

I'm not convinced they could win in a conference against those schools anyways.

And no, it's nothing like that at all. By your logic UMD football should go D1 now in some lame conference and we'll see how they do. Bemidji became the best in their group so they moved on to the next level and had some success. After being around enough years they will easily rival UMD or likely overtake them. That's the part I think you may not be able to handle.

The Rivalry
One of the Beavers’ most consistent Division-I opponents, BSU has clashed with Minnesota Duluth in each season since making the jump to NCAA Division I (1999-2000). Although UMD holds a 19-9-1 record in the all-time series and skated out of Bemidji, Minn. with a win and a tie Oct. 29-30, BSU is 7-4-1 in the last 12 meetings.

Post your record against UND. I think "winning at every level" would include "having at least one win all-time against every team in your conference."

Bemidji has 1 win over UND. It came back in 1970 when Bemidji was an NAIA team actually.

So we can't compete with you until we beat the Sioux?? That's really some fantastic logic.

Good luck to the Dawgs, hoping for a great game today.

Go Beavs.

At least she doesn't wear army boots like your mom does. :D

Well of course she doesn't wear boots, she has tentacles.

Go Dogs! :D

Just wondering... what is UMD's record agains UNO? I know they won on March 4th, but what about before that? Have they ever played before since I know that was their only series this year? That means UMD has not won at every level until about 2 weeks ago?

We have played them before. We might have been undeafted against them until this year. But I could be wrong. We have more than one win for sure. So yes. We have arrived

Good game. I was expecting a little more excitement, but that's cool. Let the *****ing begin about the overtime power play goal. Oh yeah, Mutts are getting into the dance anyway. Congrats on losing and still getting in. At least the entire Mutt team showed up. You didn't just have to rely on the Connoly's and Fontaine. Ok just joking. Nice shorty....

It's great to see the Beavers scoring coming from other lines than just Lowe-Read-George. And the game winner by Walters (first goal of the season!) Good job today Baks!!

For the dumbass making fun of Bakala's mom's name, Ursula, she's from Poland. He's first generation Canadian.

Tomorrow, Denver.... Let's hope the Beavs show up...

A Canadian Pole? That's too easy :D

Never. I am still happy by the fact that Denver or UND will crush you. Plus our season isn't over like yours will be tomorrow :)

If your team can't even beat the #10 team in the WCHA, what makes ya think they will do any better in the NCAA's

It's one game. Don't go and try and develop an ego. You'll fail miserably.

We did beat you. Earlier this year. Remember?

Taking Nymore at his word makes it 8-4-1 in the last 13, BSU. No reason for Beaver fans to get too cocky but certainly no reason for UMD fans to be arrogant. Bemidji is just trying to become one of the boys in the playground without the big kids throwing dirt in their face. Today was entertaining just as most have been recently between these teams. Good luck to the dogs in the NCAA's.

Re: WCHA Final Five Quarterfinals - BSU vs. UMD: Time to make some top hats!

Congratulations to Buttmidji on winning their version of the national championship.

Blah. Bemidji obviously wanted it more and tried harder in all aspects of the game. Although the last minute of regulation probably had the Beaver fans' hearts pounding in fear.

So beating Duluth is like winning the national championship? I guess you still feel the need to be arrogant and BSU is on a heck of a National Championship streak... Are you a short person with a jacked up 4x4 and does "Buttmidji" make you feel, well, over 5'7"?
I like the dogs and their history, you need to get off your self appointed throne...
