WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

When they make a TV series about Ticks and Lice, Minnesota will be on the map.

Did you just reply to that post again? Seriously?

Actually, I'm glad you did. You missed the point entirely with both, which is fun for everyone to see.

What arena can’t you drive to? I was at the Mariucci last January. I didn’t see your tractor in the parking lot so I figured you didn’t make it.

I fly to cities like Denver and Colorado Springs, my flying unicorn loves the exercise and we usually stop by candy mountain.

Instead of useless comments like above you should spend more time working for that new set of tires to put on your house.

A bit odd for you trying to lecture on useless comments given your last few in this thread? I'm just sayin since this thread is chock full of them..... ;)

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

Blagh!

I don't mind Alaska as a state whatsoever. In fact, I am eager to get up there to take in the sights sometime. However, I am tired of my TV being overrun with Alaska shows. We get it, Alaska is big. It's really far North. You have to go a long ways to get anywhere, and it's cold. Woo. Friggin. Hoo.

I don't have any clue why TV producers in the lower-48 feel the need for so many Alaska-based reality shows. It's a mystery to those of us who live up here.

Good to see the Seapups make a run. This team earned their ticket.

I can't wait for the puck to drop. St. Paul in March is a great place to be. Go Sioux!

The Seawolves make their second-ever Final Five and this is what happens.

Thanks a lot for letting them in, Minnesota.

The Seawolves did a sweep on The Gophers and they want to extend Donnie's contract to make him feel better. I hope a few more coaches will get the same treatment courtesy of the Seawolves.

Nebraska, Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia are all worse

Gotta disagree. Atlanta is a great city, and the nearby mountains are great. Athens is like Madison further south.

Me too, although I did get hooked on deadliest catch.
I think it's partly Palin and mostly the tax credit.

Alaska so far has issued 15 original tax certificates to film producers valued collectively at nearly $5 million, ranging in size from $30,000 to $2.1 million, according to Johanna Bales with the tax division of the Alaska Department of Revenue. The producers have sold 12 of the credits to businesses seeking to reduce their Alaska tax bills, and one has already been partly used.

Looks like our chance of winning the cup is 4% (RPI thread # crunchers :)) or 1 in 25 which is better than I thought. I figured 1/2 for cc 1/4 nd 1/4 du about 1 in 32.

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

True. Also careful changing tires on the side of the road in 'deer humper territory' you don't want to be still for too long.

That's so wrong. Nothing gets us going like a little movement around a pumpjack. We can be dang friendly that way.

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

Face it, the place is pretty overwhelmingly the absolute overall worst place within a set of state's borders on the continent. None of your defenses or the illogical emotional attachment you can express here will change anyone's opinion about the place. Wyoming has more to offer; Iowa too; even Michigan is a better place; N.D. can't touch Jersey; Mississippi may only be slightly better ... but the word "better" still applies.

Now, feel free respond with some inane list of all the positive qualities of the place which you can muster (we know you are dying to). It won't mean anything to anyone here that's busting the chops of the desolate windblown treeless plain on which you have the unfortunate fate to live. You have much to be proud of regarding your hockey team and it's history. Stick to that or gtfo.
How great or crappy someplace happens to be is very much in the eyes of the beholder. For some people, North Dakota is the crappiest place in the country to live, no doubt. But for others that distinction goes to California, New York, Alaska, Hawaii, or any number of other places. Each of our nation's 50 states holds that distinction for someone. It all comes down to just exactly what someone likes to see in the place they live.

I've lived on both coasts and both borders of the lower 48, in a total of 8 different states. I've visited just about every state I haven't lived in. I can say good things about every place I've been too or lived in, but in the end I returned to North Dakota very much by choice. There is no place else in the nation I would rather live, and I feel very fortunate to live here. Will that statement change your opinion of North Dakota? I certainly don't expect it to, and really don't care if it does. The opinions of others had absolutely nothing to do with my choice of place to live.

Now, how about some hockey talk as we head into tomorrow's games?
