WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

What part of did you forget you said? Is not the craphole named Jamestown west of Grand Forks?

It's still in the Eastern Half of North Dakota. You responded to this portion of my quote...

Apparently many people here have not been west of Grand Forks. The western half of North Dakota has more natural beauty than the eastern half of the state. I'm not saying it's majestic by any means, but much nicer than the eastern half.

If you only look at the first sentence, then you completely take it out of its context. Apparently reading comprehension is tough too. :p:D:D

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

Good luck with that. But remember that cancer rates are influenced greatly by environment and do tend to be proportional to the pristine level of that environment. Is Sarah Palin a worse human being than Ralph Englestad? I'd tend to think so. But I'm not here to subjectively compare individual humans from one place versus the other. Um .. cos that'd just be the stupidest argument EvAH on this board.

North Dakota is a craphole. Anchorage hockey fans are crap about supporting their WCHA team. Freaking Nome isn't Anchorage and there isn't a statewide statistic that isn't offset by the vast difference from Anchorage to the rest of the state. Alaska is no more about Anchorage than the people of Alaska are about what is truly the most vast beautiful awe-inspiring pristine wilderness in North America.

So there's that.

And you guys have some kick @$s state troopers......:D Do you know how to make some of that home brew the natives make up near the artic? until I watched that show I never knew there were parts of alaska that were dry. I thought people up there were smater than the people in the bible belt.;)

Re: WCHA Final 5 (6) ((5)) - You Know (I Think) What I Mean

I would rather be stricken with cancer than live in Alaska.
North Dakota cancer rate expected to rise
FARGO (AP) - A new study predicts increased future cancer risks among North Dakota's population because of aging residents and the state's high incidence of binge drinking.

You probably are well on your way. I hope you save up enough to get to go on your life’s dream vacation to Omaha’s Chuckie Cheese before it hits. I’ve been to Grand Forks a small town in the middle of nowhere. So if you want to come to Alaska I have good news and bad news. Good news …Timmy Treadwell’s camping spot is reserved for you. The bad news ….. You can’t drive your tractor there.

Blagh!

I don't mind Alaska as a state whatsoever. In fact, I am eager to get up there to take in the sights sometime. However, I am tired of my TV being overrun with Alaska shows. We get it, Alaska is big. It's really far North. You have to go a long ways to get anywhere, and it's cold. Woo. Friggin. Hoo.

Judging from this thread, I'm going to say it's the PEOPLE that make North Dakota better than Alaska and a lot of other places in this country.

When I die, I'm probably going to remember the great people I've known, and not all the stupid sh*t you people are making such a big deal about.

Face it, the place is pretty overwhelmingly the absolute overall worst place within a set of state's borders on the continent. None of your defenses or the illogical emotional attachment you can express here will change anyone's opinion about the place. Wyoming has more to offer; Iowa too; even Michigan is a better place; N.D. can't touch Jersey; Mississippi may only be slightly better ... but the word "better" still applies.

Nebraska, Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia are all worse

Arkansas has to be the worst, period. I spent three weeks straight there once. It was hell. The Ozarks are gorgeous, but that's it.

I hate to break it to you but Grand Forks is a small town in the middle of the CONUS(continental united states) which makes it a lot farther from nowhere than Alaska. I can drive to almost every WCHA rink I want on any given weekend which I do quite often depending on where UND is playing, so middle of nowhere? How often do you hitch up your wife to the sled and catch UAA at Mariucci or Amsoil?

having spent time in nearly all 50 states, I can tell you that Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana, and Ohio are all much worse than North Dakota. North Dakotans are well educated, the atmosphere is ridiculously friendly, and the landscape west of Devils Lake/Jamestown is impressive. Combine the fact that Dirty lives there and you have a pretty cool place.

According to your awe-inspiring research North Dakota is the 13th worst state. You forgot to mention you allso have a Wal-Mart.

What arena can’t you drive to? I was at the Mariucci last January. I didn’t see your tractor in the parking lot so I figured you didn’t make it.

The Seawolves make their second-ever Final Five and this is what happens.

Thanks a lot for letting them in, Minnesota.

Which disproves your (or whoever elses) point that North Dakota is the worst state. There are Wal-Marts almost everywhere what does that have to do with anything?
