In my notes I had NMU/BSU splitting earlier in the season. My apologies for the confusion, the original post has been updated.

That makes sense why you thought it could happen...all is forgiven ;)

I'm going to have to quibble with your use of the phrase "best case scenario"
That was based on a straw poll of the 10 WCHA member teams. Nine teams felt that BSU taking four pts from Mankato this weekend was the "best case scenario" for the WCHA as a whole. Really, who outside of the Mankato metroplex doesn't want to see Tech finally win the Cup? Pipe down BGSU fans...

Nobody in Marquette wants to see Tech with the McNaughton Cup.

What I want to see is a healthy league. So can all of us collectively buy tickets to the frozen five and try to make it a success.? Van Andel is a real nice arena and downtown Grand Rapids is a fun place to go.

If Lake Michigan wasn't in the way, I'd join you...

Can't afford a trip to Grand Rapids with a trip to Tampa in April.

Hey, manurespreader, I tried to rep you back, but hit a wrong button. What I was trying to say is: My wife and I are going to Tampa for the FF regardless of who's there, with a few days in the Keys beforehand.

I guess the key words are "for the league as a whole." As for individual teams, I can think of at least two would not want that result, given how it could affect them in the playoff seedings (Mankato and LSSU)

Not even staying awake until 0422 let me finish. Alas. http://blog.wchaplayoffs.com/2016/03/04/2015-16-final-weekend-playoff-branches/

In general: MSU succeeds when they keep pace; MTU succeeds in all other cases save a tie with BG. NMU-FSU is very close, including a significant chance to go to the E tiebreaker. BSU has a strong advantage on LSSU, and UAF has a slight advantage on UAA.

Sorry, Squarebanks.

I missed Bemidji getting to 29 without Ferris getting there. Nuts. Too much data and not enough time. Tomorrow will be much easier, though. I already have all the probability charts built in. so it'll just be entering game results.
