Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important
It's time to update things a bit! Still not much time for spreadsheets — it's proposal time at work — but here is the story in the league at this moment.

Only one position changed, as LSSU crept up to tied with UAH while an idle Seawolves squad held firm.
· BG's road to #2 is a little tougher, especially with Tech looking strong in comebacks over Alaska (although at some point you have to stop setting up comebacks).
· Ferris State's hold on 4th place is looking more likely assuming everyone stays healthy (especially CJ Motte) and they keep playing about as well as they have (i.e., .500 hockey). For all the amazingness that Bemidji has pulled off of late, they're still under .500 for the season and at .406 in league play. (I know, SOS, all the stuff I normally evaluate, etc. This is a zeroth-order look. Bit me, Beavs, it's been a long few days.)
· LSSU beating BG was definitely a shocker, even with Defiel playing as well as he has, but they didn't leapfrog UAH in the standings, and UAH has just as many league wins in two fewer games.
· UAA should want to schedule UAF for the remainder of the year. Unfortunately, they go to Northern this weekend (no comment), to Mankato the next, host Tech after that, go to Bemidji, host BG, and host UAF. Holy smokes. I can't see more than two or three wins in there, and that gets them to just 16, and UAH and LSSU would have to get just one or two.
· It's time for me to validate that tiebreakers haven't changed.
GFM <— going to go get coffee and think about some spreadsheets.
