Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

So will we know more about the league —*a Mankato and/or BG sweep putting Tech in 3rd with distance to 2nd, maybe with Northern sweeping UAH to pull right behind the Huskies in fourth — or less — UAH and LSSU at least hold serve, Anchorage picks up points, splits in Houghton and Big Rapids, tightening everything?

We've done our part for the less. :)

overall I agree too, not sure Ferris really belongs that high but not sure how to shuffle things...

The only way Ferris does anything this year is if our offense wakes from the coma we've been in since mid-October. And I don't see that happening until at least next fall.

Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

UAH went almost four years between home wins, and now they've won four of their last six home games (the other two were against Tech at the earliest bit of their slide).

So #1-2 and #8-10 won while #3-7 all lost.

I love this league.

Let me get this straight - Fairbanks got 64 minutes in penalties, four player ejections, one coach ejection and a player suspended for the second game...all in the last 1:30 of the 3rd period?

Strong.

And Anchorage got nothing in the same stretch. Pretty impressive discipline.

Frustration...but no excuse...That's not Nanook hockey and they know it....tonight is another night is about all we can say...A big win for UAA who has a tough schedule with a two week road trip on the horizon...kudos to Seawolves

Interesting press conference as coach Ferguson did say that respect goes both ways for players and officials..

Any students ejected from the stands by the refs? That's the true test of intensity in hockey.

All the result of anger towards a clear tripping call and a possibly questionable cross checking call late in the game. Oh and let's not forget the UAF fans tossing stuff on the ice in that time period too.

Basically, it was a Chernobyl sized meltdown.

When Ferris took the lead early in the first tonight, it was the first time the Mavs trailed in. 8 games, that is right 8!! Streak of 427 minutes!

Should be a fantastic series in 2 weeks in Mankato!

Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

I can see 3 of this weekend's sweeps - Mavs are playing great, nobody wants to face Guerrero in Huntsville, Lakers are improving every week, especially at the defensive end- but I never would have picked UAA to sweep UAF in Fairbanks. I hate most sports cliches, but maybe "throw the records out the window" really applies to this series
