Merry Christmas to everyone from Da U.P.!!!

Yes. 2 of the last 3 Alaskan flights have originated in Marquette, one in Green Bay.
Direct vs. non stop vs. change of planes etc.
It's all airline lingo.
And I know you know there's no Marquette (pick your Alaska city) Alaska flights. Unless it's chartered and that's not happening.
Or maybe you started imbibing the eggnog without inviting Alaska Hockey and I.
Same plane? Which airline?
Skyhigh Airlines.
(You better get that reference...)
Same plane? Which airline?
Not being an expert in airline travel I'm having a heck of a time finding flights from Marquette to either Anchorage or the city on the edge of nowhere that have a single flight number all the way or that do not require a change of planes somewhere on those routes. That's Delta. Last year went on American, Marquette-Chicago-Seattle-Anchorage/Fairbanks
Other routes used in the past have been Green Bay-MSP-SEA or ANC-FAI
One time we bussed to MSP 8 1/2 hrs the to ANC and on to FAI
There are no direct flights. I noted the routing. Detroit to Anchorage is same plane, same flight number, but one must deplane and take all carry on items with you and reboard in Seattle. That route had us leaving Marquette 6:20 am and arriving in Anchorage at 2:37 pm Alaska Time. Not being an expert in airline travel I'm having a heck of a time finding flights from Marquette to either Anchorage or the city on the edge of nowhere that have a single flight number all the way or that do not require a change of planes somewhere on those routes.
Just guessing that it was not the same flight number and that there were a couple of changes of planes on any of those routes???
That's likely as good as you can do from the lower 48.There are no direct flights. I noted the routing. Words of warning on MSP to ANC:Right now on Delta you have to go via GRB to MSP to ANC and arrive at 6 30 pm, or you can go via SEA and arrive at midnight, or via portland and arrive at 1 am. there are no flights direct to Minny from Marquette on Delta. Frequency and routes change monthly and quarterly. More flights in the summer. Delta used to fly direct to ANC from SLC but not anymore, it's all thru Seattle to compete with Alaska.
Based on the number of travel experts on this thread, we could probably provide some nice ancillary revenue for the conference in the form of a conference travel agency. WCHA Vacations has a nice ring to it.
United does a ORD to ANC direct flight on a 737 that takes 7 05, so it's one stop from Houghton to ANC.
