WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

This conference is as tough as nails. We could probably go undefeated the rest of the season and still not make the playoffs. :o:(

The BottomFeedersBracket/FutileFour ignores NCAA sanctions. You could always make THAT your team objective.

I really do feel like UAH will pick up a win this weekend, and just it's because it's a struggling team of Lakers. Why? UAH was a much worse team, and I think that you could argue that LSSU was a much better team, when these teams played in late February with a playoff berth for the Lakers on the line. Both of those were one-goal games, and UAH led in both of them. There was a sizable gap in these two teams in terms of talent last year, but that gap has closed.

Well yes but.... And I picked you to win one of them as did a lot of other people. Having said that, lssu has a whole new system they are getting used to. They have a ton of young defensemen that are getting up to speed real quick and up to now they haven't had any time to work on things much because they started playing games the very first day and haven't stopped until this bye week last week. So for the first time they have had a chance to practice with the coaches on the system and I expect that they will make noticeable strides in quality up the ladder from here on. So it won't be easy, home or not home. Question is, will you have a good crowd?

Having seen both LSSU & UAH in back to back weeks, I'll say split. I think LSSU has a slight edge in overall roster depth, but UAH isn't that far behind and has superior goaltending and works a little harder. LSSU works hard, but UAH has an edge there.

Well that's it then. A Sweep for the Lakers. Geof you can thank Davyd.

Honestly if it were not for your Donkey Kong Goalies Geof , I would be 80% comfortable with a Lakers sweep. They are the wild cards along with what Mr. Manurespreader said. The Lakers should be getting better as the season goes along.

If we had more developed talent up front, I'd think that we could bump up the scoring numbers on that many young D-men. I don't have a lot of faith in our guys just yet, the Air Force series notwithstanding.

High school football playoffs started last weekend, but it looks like all the area teams are out save MCHS, and that's really not Huntsville people. (Sorry, Gurley and Paint Rock.) State-Alabama will be at 2:30 (and I never watch college football, but I will probably watch that one), but Auburn plays at UGA around an hour before drop. We will lose the Aubies that haven't decided that their playoff hopes died last week against TAMU (lol), but we should have the BAMMERS. With this being Armed Forces Appreciation Weekend, there are free tickets through AUSA (I think) for active and retired veterans. I'd say 2200 Friday and 1800 Saturday to be conservative. I'm hoping more like 2800/2000. I'm very thankful that our home league schedule is very backloaded, because Alabama, Auburn, and HS football kill our attendance when we are up against them.

I expect more from a Carmine start than a Matty start just because the former is really on his game right now. Matt is solid, but he's not made the leap that his partner has.

Yeah. 4 goals in 7 games, and now 10 tonight. Watch us get beat 2-1 tomorrow night.

We'll see. One game does not a trend make.

Now it will be a race to see which school makes the best math comments here: Tech or UAH. I'd argue that you need two points for a trend line, and heck, I think that you want to do some regression analysis and maybe a running average.
