Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

Did you just change your saying to "USCHO's Official Dead Horse Beater" or is that a coincidence?

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

For the record:

I'm a Plattsburgh fan. I have been all my life. Do I think many schools these days are getting away with violations far more egregious than those Plattsburgh was found guilty of committing? Absolutely.

Do I think that Plattsburgh was innocent in the 80's, that the loss of that championship was unjustified, or that any team found guilty of the violation Plattsburgh was found guilty of deserves to call themselves National Champions (guilty having been proven)? Absolutely not. They were guilty, and the punishment was justified. Other schools are just as guilty, if not more, and I can only hope that the procedures to find these violations someday works and the same punishments go down then. But, barring a complete overhaul of the NCAA rules infractions process, I don't foresee completely clean amateur athletics anywhere in the near future for the NCAA.

Whatviolations are other schools getting away with?

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

Do I have to bring up the post from a few years back where you said you wanted Morrisville to beat Oswego? :D

Do I have to remind you that I never said I wanted Morrisville to beat Oswego?

That other thread is right -- whiny, whiny Oz fans.

First of all, I don't have balls. I'm female. Secondly, I can't believe how far this has gone. Let me just say that I have never condoned cheating in my life especially since having dedicated my career to teaching young children. As for my comment,it was strictly about a specific game, that was played fairly. There was, to my knowledge , no cheating that occurred on the ice . I was not referring to the aftermath and the consequences that occurred. You misundersood me. I will not qualify your further remarks with a reply. If I have insulted any Oswego fans, I apologize.

No one ever said there was cheating on the ice.

But cheating is cheating no matter where it's done. Plattsburgh got caught and suffered the consequences. Ergo, they did not win a national championship that year.

It's really that simple...

{To end this on a humorous note, whenever I tell my wife she has no balls, she looks down and says, "You're right!" It's the only time I can get my wife to say that.}

To get this back on track, and to add an appropriate seasonal note.

You don't think of it as Thanksgiving Day, you think of it as Primelink Eve

When traveling from Plattsburgh to Middlebury, you know which way to turn after you cross the Crown Point Bridge!

Admit it, when you think of "Primelink" you have visions of a choice golf course. ;)

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

You're cutting your Thanksgiving vacation short to head up to Middlebury tomorrow to work the PrimeLink Tournament.

I thought they were going to name this year's Primelink the Dunning Invitational? :D
