Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

You know that Herb Brooks coached a team that is now Div I in a NCAA Tourney game against Oswego and LOST!!

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

you recently find out a good friend goes to Norwich, and you know more about their school than they do.

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

: You've recently considered starting up a "Best Hot Dog with meat sauce" column for your job because of Jaslow's Pretzel column.

I've heard good things about Claire and Carls.

I think I had McSwinney's when I was up in Plattsburgh a few years ago.

For my job here in Gloversville at the Leader-Herald, I've been slowly sampling everyone's meat sauce hot dogs and so far Johnstown is beating out Amsterdam, Broadalbin-Perth, and Gloversville.

Also had one at the Adirondack Phantoms game at the Glens Falls Civic Center that tasted like refried beans rather than meat sauce. Major failure.

Although the game wasn't a total loss, met a hot promotion intern at the game:cool:

Plattsburgh is by far the best for michagans. There is a place down in Elmira that trys to come close, and I've heard they are okay, but its still not the same as a nice glazier michagan :D We've actually thought of starting a food stand for the local fairs down here in the Finger Lakes. Michigans with home made Poutine....;)

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

And you can't forget Ronnie's Michigans during the summer.... a couple Michigans for dinner then go right down the street to Harrigans for the best ice cream in town!

And their's (Ronnies) are totally different than the rest!! But I am not a soft-serve ice cream fan. Gimme a tripple scoop of Hershey's chocolate peanut buttercup on a waffle cone!

Rochesters Garbage Plates vs Plattsburgh Michigans/Poutine....next time on Man vs Food...

My wife and I ate at their stand at the NYS Fair before the Styx/Boston concert in the summer of 2008. It was the best BBQ beef I have had!

Yeah the Gianelli Sausage/Dinosaur stand at the Fairgrounds does a mean business during those two weeks.

Dinosaur is amazing. Three locations with NYC/Cuse/Roc. Rumor has it they are supposed to be opening one in Troy would be sweet because it'd be a lot closer to me now!
