Saturday is FB Homecoming. Didn't want to expose us hockey fans to the carnage the Cornhuskers will inflict on the Gopher FB team.:( Or expose us to the Husker fans either.:eek:

I thought I heard Coach Lucia say on his radio show tonight that the rematch would be over Thanksgiving week-end. There is no showcase on that week end any longer.

We could probably make that weekend too, although air fares will be much higher and I'm sure the leaves will all be gone by then.

Last time I checked we have pretty good Fall color's around here. Lets go to Vermont and enjoy some good Hockey.

Vermont doesn't play good hockey. ;)

Also, the Gopher hockey team has a 90% chance of outscoring the Gopher football team this weekend. In 1 game! :eek:

If I'm spending a small fortune to fly three people to Vermont, I want more than just a couple hockey games out of it.

There is also Ben & Jerry's and maple syrup to be had...

...maybe even maple flavored bacon.

It's not that far up to Montreal. We have friends there we haven't seen in years. Also not far to Lake Placid. Hmmm.

At first I thought 90% was way too high, but actually that's probably about right. I will be there for the pummeling however, that's why I really need the hockey team to bring some joy to my sports life this fall.

lake placid is well worth the ride over-maybe the bobsled run will be open plenty to do and see.lots of hockey history.it's just a special place.

It's been a life-long dream of mine to see. Thanks for the tips on other things to do when there :)

It looks like you'd ferry across the lake to go to Placid, is that right?
