One thing is certain, it will be a great weekend of hockey. There's really no doubting that. Wisconsin is 14-1 when scoring 4+ goals, so the Dogs better be ready to play defense and keep Wisconsin off the board.

Thats due to the play we have in net and on defense. not many teams have been able to put up 4-5 goals when those to elements just have a normal performance, and if one or both have great games, close the door and turn out the lights. Its one of the advantages to having a complete team without any real weaknesses. A team that can score goals and shut you down at the same time it difficult to beat. UW loses when UW beats beats themselves. The only games I can think of where UW played well and still lost was a 5-2 loss against Minnesota (*** Kangas) and a 4-1 loss against SCSU (was 2-1 with a min left i think).
As far as this UW team being complacent and not ready to play, i can't see Eaves or the captains letting that happen seeing how we are still T4th in the WCHA. As much as we talk about being #1 in the country, it is not something that is even discussed in that locker room. This is a more experiences and mature team and the leaders won't let something like that happen.

As should Wisconsin. The bulldogs are somethin like 13/14-2 when scoring 3 or more goals this year.

Be forewarned on the UMD b2 broadcast. It's one camera at center ice panning back and forth. No replays. They instantly go to the scoreboard shot after every whistle, never showing any on-ice tussles or goal celebrations. The audio is provided by the local radio guys. On Saturday versus Bemidji the color guy took at least three phone calls from his wife during the telecast. One was to help her find her seat, one to explain a call or something that just happened on the ice. They never bothered to memorize the visitors roster. Very un-professional. The WCHA needs to look into how teams present themselves on b2. It's called marketing. Bemidji has one of the best b2 broadcasts out there.

Are all UMD home games on charter? If so why not put that feed on B2? I am pretty sure that is what SCSU does.

What's up with the weather? We've got a crew of 10 headed up, and vehicle decisions are partially dependent on weather- but the forecast looks clear, if rather cold at night.
...and, regarding the low-quality broadcast: we have satellite which we find better overall, so since we actually have to go elsewhere to get the crap charter broadcasts, well, I like my couch and radio better. That said, it's no dilemma this weekend: watching live in person is always better!

I wouldn't go this far, even in 05/06 during that winning streak. Wisconsin is good, not great, but very solid. They could be *great* but they've got work to do.
Their D still make many mistakes in their own zone, and they balance that at-times by transitioning with lightning speed. In cases where they play loaded teams (ala Denver this past weeked), that crap from the D gets magnified. UW took 3 points but very easily could have been 0 or 1 point.
Bennett in goal isn't as sharp as Gudmanson, and I'm not certain Gudmanson is the shut-down guy yet.
On O it appears UW is just fine which is something no said around here in ages.
But right now I'd say it's getting presumptuous to state or infer UW is the best team out there.
I'd also say losing to SCSU had quite a bit to do with the malamutes putting up a great game themselves.
