Why? Because they televise EXTRA Badger hockey games that normally wouldn't be on televison. Yeah, sounds terrible.

No, they have been together for the past few months. Previously it was Fontaine-Jacky-Fulton/Danberg and then MCON was sort of shuffled with randoms. If our second line of Schmidt-Oleksuk-Bordson is intact (Schmidt was injured against Mankato and I thought was going to be back this weekend but am getting conflicting reports) then we shall see.

Isn't that the one where the production quality is... not so great? For the one game I've watched on Charter extra, I kind of prefer radio.

Yeah, there was 1 game, I think it was at St. Cloud, the audio quality was horrible at for a large part of the broadcast. I just turn it down and did my own commentary. Other than that 1 game it's been alright.
St. Cloud's pre and post game "studio" show is kind of comical. The guy does alright, but his gal sidekick stumbles around like VW posts here. I for the life of me don't know why St. Cloud has a girl doing their color commentary of the game. Her voice is kind of deep. It'a a bit disconcerting.

The SCSU games had large portions that were missing audio, and the Minnesota State games sounded like the play-by-play was being piped through a CB radio into a telephone, then into a crappy soundboard. It's not like the broadcasts are professional ones, they're done by the school or another local school (probably piped on the area public access channel and Charter Extra/Mainstreet) from what I remember, and overall it was more watchable than some of the webstreams I've paid for. Don't have Charter anymore, so I'll have to stick to hearing the play-by-play on the radio.
On a more related note... This series is going to be epic... But when it's all said and done, we're going to skate to two ties.

It was up in some ridiculous part of the spectrum (I wish I had written down what channel it was). So, if it's really on Charter Extra again, and if I can get it again, I'm happy. Along the top side of the wall where people throw paper airplanes into.....A large part of that fell this weekend. The cloud of "dust" it formed was pretty sick.

I know I shouldn't be complaining, and at least it's on some sort of television. I could honestly care less about the quality as long as it's on tv.
I do think it's "nonsense" though because I think it's a money grab by Charter, there's no need to put it on 87, they have other channels to put it on that don't require a cable box (and the extra monthly fee).
