UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey

Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey

Looks like we have a few good years of recruits in the pipeline.
Still cant get a handle on which league our best recruits are coming from?
We seem to have pretty equal success from USHL/BCHL and from the NA and Premier league. Seems like the 'busts' (dont mean to sound harsh, really) also come from all leagues.
I guess the 'character' of each player will really tell the most....

Nice job coach Wallack and Patrick!

Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey

Which of these recruits are slated to join the team next season? I imagine the two goalies, since Lekkas will be the only one returning. Who else?

Esposito, Beck and Kaufman age out of junior; Kamps, Harmon, and Grant are slated as well. Not sure on others.

Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey

Would think that Grant and Harmon are coming just based on needs at those positions. Not sure about Kamps as a player. Still think they need to find another D for next year.

The Heisenberg site shows Kale Kane, Martin Frechette and Ace Cowans as UVM recruits. Are they still heading to Burlington?

Abramson still has a year of eligibility left. Would he come back?

Re: UVM Recruiting: The future of Catamount hockey

I watch a lot of Bryce Misley and you're going to want to get him on campus ASAP, he's a good one and should produce from day one.

I was not aware of Abramson having eligibility, but that would be big.

I believe he would need an exemption to the 5 year clock NCAA has. Attended classes at PC in fall of '12 so clock ends in spring. I know baketball players have been granted 6th years and his reason for leaving PC was medical issues

That being the case it seems like giving him another year would be a no brainer, still it's the NCAA so....we'll see.
