UVM Catamounts, 2024-25 Season, Does Anyone Care Anymore?

They do Offensive and Defensive MOP’s for the men’s and women’s College Cups.

Herceg (GK) and Kissel (GWG) got it.

I thought Barrett was an absolute stud on the back line all night and a weapon w his throw ins and getting on the end of a set piece in the 1st half on a CK too. Fantastic job of a captain leading by example.

Yes, I was amazed by how far he could throw the ball. He certainly stood out.
 
Congrats to the Cats been watching that team since the 80's and now I can check off another team I wanted to get a title b4 I die, only one left(WINK). Coach Dow now has the pleasure of finding that recruiting will become much easier for the next few years.
 
I was just watching the replay of the Golden goal again and I can't for the life of me figure why Marshall only had one man deep with Kissel. Soccer teams never leave only one back if the other team has a player at midfield like that for the reason we just saw. They didn't have any serious possession going to warrant getting caught like that. I wonder if Barrett had seen that b4 his lead pass or if he was just clearing it out of trouble.

Wanted to highlight a good pickup from the new crop of eligible players available... UVM got a commitment from PJ Forgione, who currently plays for Saginaw Spirit in OHL, 6'2, 214 lb. LHD. 36-2-10-12 so far this season as an overage player. He was born in Burlington, and if you think that name sounds familiar, you might remember his big brother Thomas Forgione, who played UVM hockey from 2013-2017.

Instagram post includes an adorable picture of him in UVM gear as a kid.

Also: Max Strand named Hockey East Rookie of the Month AND National Rookie of the Month. Catamounts ending the year on 4 game winning streak. Good stuff

UVM hockey has been much more fun to watch this season. I love that they are playing a faster, more possesion oriented game. It's nice to see the progression of last year's freshman. I tend to focus on the defensemen when I'm watching. Both Ramsey and Barnett have made huge improvements from last year. Better team depth means nobody's name is inked into the gameday lineup. Mangbo should finish out the season. He is much better at rebound control than Rancier. Can't wait for the renovations to get finished to get rid of the rinkside walkway. Digital programs suck. UVM should hand out the game day lineups to the fans instead of charging $1500 (Victory Club membership) for them
 
UVM looked dreadful from the very first second of overtime on. To battle hard for 60 minutes and then come out so flat when it mattered most….
 
Howdy all, pardon my butting into y'all's thread but any word on the status of the new arena complex? I was hoping to make it up to Burlington next year.

Had a great time talking to some of your fans when we played UVM in women's basketball a few months back and would love to return the favor.

More fun but returning to the mean after 0-2 against a weak Northeastern team and now getting out played by UNH…. why I stop getting g my hopes up.
