You seem to be forgetting that up until last night so did UML? Why do UML fans have such a large chip on their shoulders? Seriously?? The fact is they are too close teams in almost every aspect, and yet you guys still are under this disillusionment that UVM sucks and UML should just be handed the NC they are so good. It's odd, it's like having an argument with a heavily medicated asylum patient.:confused:

I could be wrong but after looking at the PWR, assuming everything remains the same a loss tonight would drop them 2 PWR, and they would drop to 16th, and on the outside looking in. But there is no way to be sure as other teams are going to shift as well, but I do agree they would be a long shot if they don't make the HE tourney. But tonight is a must win, a win and they are in, a loss and they are likely done for the season. I maybe mistaken but I don't believe making your conference tourney is a requirement to get an at large.

Its really quite a mess, a NU loss tonight would drop them from being a TUC and which would hurt, at the same time a loss by NU with UVM owning the tie breaker would work as long as UMA takes a point, but with a 3-way tie UVM is the one left out.

Plain and simple UVM needs a win tonight. They need to come out huge.

And from the Lowell viewpoint, it's senior night, it's a chance to get home-ice, it's a chance to continue the hopes of making the NCAAs ...

Can't really ask for more from either side than such a meaningful game.

Well, I think we all new this weekend was going to be a meaningful weekend, but I will be the first to admit that I hadn't the slightest clue it would have quite this importance. Its unbelievable to me that with a single game left there are 4 teams that could miss the playoffs......

Well, in 20 minutes, I leave to see if eight years of HE playoff frustration ends tonight. With all of the bad things which has happened during the tenure of this group, I'd personally love to see their last regular season game go out on a high note. Especially considering that a win would add two more games to their Tsongas Arena/Center careers :D

See some of the Lowell folk at Beer Works between 4:15-4:30

1. Get home-ice - nope
2. Get in playoffs - check
3. Keep UML out of home-ice - check

You technically did not keep UML out of home ice. Home ice was still attainable with one point.

Lowell was clearly the superior team this evening. They hustled, hit, hustled, passed, hustled, shot, hustled, stymied.......


UVM did not play like a team that was fighting for it's playoff life.


Nice weekend Lowell. UVM was very lucky to come out with even a point, and I give Lowell all of the credit. They just wanted this more and outplayed the Cats.
