On Lowell's style of play: I understand your point and that is a very reasonable point of view. As for myself, I don't mind watching any style of play in hockey as long as it is well executed. I guess I'm saying I can appreciate that they are talented, well coached and putting into play the game plan they've practiced effectively.
Vermont's sweep last week was certainly a blessing. Not only does it allow Lowell to control thier destiny in the hunt for home ice, but it also seems to have strengthed the UVM fan delusion that their team is among the elite in Hockey East. And by "elite" I mean top five.
I seemed to recall this same song and dance last year around this time....right before Lowell went up to Burlington, kicked in the front door of the "charming" Gutterson Field House and punked your sorry team to the tune of a 3-0-1 record in consecutive weekends.
Now we come to 2010. 'Hawks doing the hosting this time around, and the only thing standing in the way of a Lowell home playoff series are 19 less talented players in green and gold.
Given what Lowell has at stake, and the small fact that they're the better team, leaves me with little doubt as to what the result will be. A resounding Lowell win, and an even bigger thud when the Vermont fans come back down to earth.
Believe it, dogsie.

i can for sure say this: 4th place ≠ 7th place. sorry homebroboth teams suck equally ...not much more to be said.
Granted it was DII,
We haven't won anything since 1996..
And when was the last time Division 1 Super Power Vermont beat a Lowell team that "belongs" in Division 2?that is where you belong.
I don't see what hippies who smoke weed have anything to do with the games. Ya there are some hippies here at UVM and ya there is some weed, so what. There really are not that many all out hippies, and weed im sure is pretty prevalent on the Lowell campus as well. If we wanna talk about the students of each school and not hockey than I am sure we can talk about how most of the students at Lowell probably could not/did not get in to UVM, and those "weed smoking hippies did". But that is a stupid argument.
As far as the games go it should be a very good series. Each team is just as good as the other as much as anyone denies it. Are there any Injuries on the Lowell side for this weekend? For the Cats I think deffinately Wahs Stacey and maybe Mike Spillane are out but I am not totally sure.
