UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

OK take a look at the present PWR and tell us which of the two teams is on the inside looking in and which team may not even be a TUC after this weekend.

So... following this line of logic then I'd say that Vermont's hockey east season is ending this weekend. You know, I wouldn't shed a tear over that.

Yes, but the Gut always sells out and fills to its capacity of 4,000 or so. Lawlor, on the other hand, looks like a barren wasteland having a drawn in crowd similar to that of a local peewee hockey game.

It was empty last Sunday.

Umm, not really because at present UVM is in the hockey east playoffs. Moreover after this coming weekend they are likely to still be in the playoffs as it would take a sweep by UML and a win by UMA to bump them. On the other hand UML really has no way to get an at large bid into the NCAA's. See the difference, was is highly unlikely the other is a certainty.

Ummm, actually it was a sellout. No everyone went, but the tickets were sold meaning no one else could buy them and go.

I know being and old man keeps you from being of sound mind, but I have faith that you can comprehend that a sell out is a sell out and having no tickets to buy necessarily inhibits it from being full when ticket holders don't show up.

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Make the frozen four and tell me you're better than Vermont. I love the bitterness among the UML fans :D Their team just sucks year in...year out...year in...year out. At least you fans know what to expect though. Hell, maybe you'll even make the tournament in the next few years! That might almost give you reason to be cocky about your school's program.

It's funny to see UVM fans get all puffed up like their 2 Frozen Fours in program history are something to be so proud of (especially the last one coming with wins vs. AFA and Yale).

Wen I was a student, my team went to twice that many FFs in my 4 years and played in more national title games than UVM Frozen Four appearances in their entire program's history.

Let's be honest, you guys are no different than Lowell. Saying that two FF appearances separates the two programs is really splitting hairs.

I don't think UVM should be looking down at anyone given their irrelevance nationally.

Not even UAH? PC?

Don't you guys have a big weekend coming up as well Nick, seems you should be over on that thread.....

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

on a serious note. if any of the uvm fans are coming down for the games this weekend you might have to leave your girlfriends at home. I checked the area hotels for you guys and they have some rooms available but they have a strict policy against farm animals staying in the rooms.

I guess it's a good thing you live there and don't have to stay at one......

Didn't you say if any UVM fans wanted to speak with you , you would be the loud one?? How about letting us all know which seat you are sitting in, maybe post a picture so there won't be any confusion ??

I think we have to worry less about the animals and more about the drum circles. Anybody have any hippie foggers?

PC has been 3 Frozen Fours, four conference playoff titles, 2 regular season titles, and played for a national championship.

The problem is, NONE OF THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST ten years. We haven't done jack **** since 2001 and we haven't won anything since 1996.

This is why when UVM - and UMASS and UML and NU fans for that matter - go on and on about how awesome they are, no one from PC disputes that, even if the Friars have had as much success as anyone who is not the Big Four. Combined. Because right now, we suck.
When your team is nailed into the basement of Hockey East for a while, you don't talk smack about other teams.
I enjoy these threads immensely because I miss when PC was part of these discussions.

I pray that day never comes, but admire your attitude towards it.

I think you may want to worry about your season ending.

Oh this is so much like last year. I'm glad that you're concerned about us. You Vermonters are such a special class... no, wait, you Vermonters belong in a special class.
