UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Mike Babcock (the coach of the Maple Leafs) was in town watching his son Mike Babcock (plays for Merrimack).
Thanks! Didn't know if there were some questionable calls. I've seen him at a couple of Merrimack games.

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

The officiating was very inconsistent in both games. One of my favorite examples: The linesman signalling icing while UVM was killing a penalty and cleared the puck and the UVM D (Massie?) reminding him they were a man down.

That was a fun game tonight. They beat a good team and it was exciting. It seemed to me that real effort was there all game. Sure the other team has more overall talent, but I didn't think they outworked the cats tonight. The close score throughout really helps the compete level stay high. And hey, a big save here, nice pass there, shot through a screen, battle for a puck, who knows.

The team that payed better won the game...UVM did a great job clogging the middle of the ice and Lekkas wasn’t tested much

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Well both teams looked more tired for sure. But still, a good point for the boys. Lots of fight in them. #40 stole another point. So much fun to watch - but so stressful.

Should be a great match-up to say the least. The element of surprise certainly isn't working in UVM's favor though...seems like the same stuff, over and over despite having a great deal of talent on the team. Far too many potential synergies and untried combinations in my opinion. Thank heaven Lekkas is playing like the Second Coming.

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

A lot of sloppy play tonight. What I see good is that the Cats were trying to and succeeded in making plays in the O zone. Keep that going. Key D zone lapses in the 1st and part of the 2nd cost them. Make it happen tomorrow. A good chance to get 2 points.

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

I've never seen an offense praised and a defense blamed after a 1-0 loss before.

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Thought they played well and could have won the game. Regarding the Kaufman penalty shot, it’s great if he converts, but if he doesn’t, you almost wish you had the 2 minute power play instead. The loss probably puts an end to any playoff hopes.

I think the Sneddon line blender might be getting warmed up.......?

Another great effort by Stef going to waste.....

Kinda sloppy play, but UVM looked good. From net on out, we looked like a real team. I like it. Competition takes a step up next weekend, so let's go Cats.
