WOW, I know last night was disappointing but jeez I think you are throwing Santa under the bus here a bit. With 20+ games on the season he is still 9th in the country and tops in HE. Is he the answer... well not to the teams stuggles, that would be some offense, but as far as in net... I'd roll with him again tonight.

First goal was through traffic on the ice, he never saw it and it never should have gotten to him in the first place. Third goal was also pretty flukey...

I think a goalie that can be under 2GAA on an average team is a pretty good thing, certainly the answer in net I'd be looking for, now if we could find some offense to go with it...

I'm not saying he's responsible for the loss last night and agree that the Cats lack of offense hurts them. With some exceptions (though not many), that's pretty much been the case since I've been following the team, dating back to the '83-'84 season. Unfortunately, we can't change that for tonight, but we can change the goalie. Like I said, don't think going with Hoffman can hurt (Sneddon himself said Santa's performance was "average") and it might provide a spark, which is badly needed.

I think playing Hoff would be a mistake personally. He hasn't played in 3 weeks, prior to that he had been pulled 3 out of his previous 6 starts... where he went 1-4-1. I think that is an enormous chance to take for a little spark. If the guys can't get up for the game tonight then so be it, their season SHOULD end.

Early in the season against ND we had puck control with tape to tape passing and a plan in the offensive zone. Now we are dump and chase and lose the puck. Why are we the only team in HE that gets worse as the season goes on.....?

Who was the UVM player that muffed the pass and ended up flipping the puck right to Shore on the game-tying goal?

I'm usually not one to complain about the refs, but how the heck does Shore not get called for pulling down Markison and then landing right on top of him around the 8-minute mark? And UVM had been called for two penalties shortly before that....

I agree. I think it was a make up call for the boarding that wasn't called.

Congratulations to the Catamounts. Good luck against BC. Vermont has good goal tending and some skilled players, should give BC a battle.

...and why is Trey Phillips playing wing? I hold my breath every time the Hamilton/Abramson pair is on the ice. Lucky to win tonight. The forwards are coasting on the back checks and the dump and chase only works if you win the battles in the corners. Players are waving at the puck with their sticks rather than skating through the play.

The call that wasn't made should have been a 5 minute major. Love to have a couple of your Dmen on Maine. BC will be tough in there building, good luck
