I'm wondering if there is more to this story. After all, he entered the Portal very, very late.so this kid split time at Elmira ,and now leaves his senior year to maybe?? split time at utica,WOW what do ya know????
maybe Elmira has a stud transfer or frosh who chased him off??I'm wondering if there is more to this story. After all, he entered the Portal very, very late.

NIL $ must be flowing in Utica.I'm wondering if there is more to this story. After all, he entered the Portal very, very late.
Stayed at Hobart, they have their roster up and both players are listed on it.Off topic but any idea where the 2 guys from Hobart ended up who entered the portal
Who are the players from AIC? I know Longhi transferred, but I don't know the other,According to the xfer portal data, UU picked up 4 D1 transfers; 2 from AIC, and 2 from the Alaska schools

According to the team, it's actually 6According to the xfer portal data, UU picked up 4 D1 transfers; 2 from AIC, and 2 from the Alaska schools
WOW they had 8 total transfers last yr, maybe they should be called "Transfer" U....According to the team, it's actually 6
2 AIC
2 Fairbanks
1 Anchorage
1 Vermont
Never hurts, but I would hope schooling has a say as well.....Playing in front of 3,000 fans in an AHL rink might have something to do with it. Or would you rather play in front of 200 ?
Drafty, any D-3 program that realistically wants to compete would be absolutely insane to eschew D-1 wash-outs.WOW they had 8 total transfers last yr, maybe they should be called "Transfer" U....![]()

well I'll say at Oz we have had several thats struggled to even make it into the lineup at times, and a few that have stood out,as long as they are getting their education and playing the game that they love, its a win win....Let's Go Lakers!!!!Drafty, any D-3 program that realistically wants to compete would be absolutely insane to eschew D-1 wash-outs.
It's funny how so many of those guys who failed at that level excel down here, including a few being D-3 All-Americans.
The gulf in talent is still surprisingly wide.
Hobart returns 23 from last year, 3 transfers( UCONN, AIC and Salve Regina) and room for only 3 first-years on the start-of-season roster. The home and away games against Utica should be awesome this year and give D3 Hockey a huge boost to the start of the season. The Cooler is even charging for tickets this year......$5......budget for it now.i mean hobart has won the past 3 titles with a whopping total of 2 d1 transfers in that span. pro hockey aspirations also play a huge part as oz has had a few guys the past 4 years leave mid season or not use their last year of elgibility to go play pro. anyone remember that wenkler kid (or was it swenkler) who was supposed to go to chatham and instead signed a pro deal 2 months b4 the season started??
