So, UC was short on scorers all night. Lynch suspended, Cavanagh injured, and Everson leaving the game early, never to return.
The B-team won this one, with Baggs carrying the bulk of the load behind them. Utica has depth as far as feet, but maybe not so much in terms of hands. Still, it was enough.
Lynch has some making-up to do, Everson took a stick to the face (no call on that one), and Cavanagh will still be out.
Everson skated-off looking pretty healthy to me. If he's back, along with Lynch, I'm feeling OK about tomorrow.

When did the Aud get a new name? I noticed at center ice it says Adirondack Bank Center.

September 2017. As part of the renovations done that summer naming rights were put up for bid. Adirondack Bank was granted a 10 year deal. The official name is now "Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium."

In the 1st, Naz definitely looked like the more determined team, and Baggs gave up the softest goal I've ever seen him surrender. (His other GA was a pinball-job off 2 or 3 sets of skates... Not on him at all.)
Naz carried about 90% of the 2nd, too, until the very late PP tally by a very patient Burmaster, which seemed to turn the tide... And Utica took-over in the 3rd, at long last.
I was a bit on the fence regarding this 2-game series thing, but I'm coming-around. The bigger the sample-size, the better. (As though the RS wasn't enough.
)

Classes are done for the week! (My 10:30 Gen Chem class was most excellent, thanks for asking
) So excited for this weekend's games. It's been a long road for the old ECAC-West teams to get to "win and you are in!"

I'm pretty stoked about this weekend, too... But, I'm a bit worried about M'ville, as well.
Undefeated in their last 10 games, the Violents are on a roll. I see this series going to a mini-game, and many many Rolaids being consumed en route that conclusion.
Stiil, if UC survives that weekend they'll likely have 21 wins. I absolutely did not see that coming. It's been a great year no matter how you slice it.
