Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

The announcement in here said that he has withdrawn from classes, so it sounds like he is expecting more.

I'm sure he has the talent to hang around for a few seasons, at least... Question is: Why would he want to?

Low-level professional hockey has to among the basest forms of human endeavor in the Western hemisphere. (And it pays roughly minimum-wage, if the numbers I heard Heenan quote are accurate.)

Well, whatever, God bless his fighting heart just the same.

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

Guess Tim survived his 2-game ATO; he appears to still be on their roster. (0-1-1 through three GP.)

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

Blame Utica college monitors for that.... the numbers were a bit fuzzy and i wasnt totally awake.

Tim picked up another + tonight against Cinncinati.

Also sent a breakaway attempt off the crossbar sunday against Reading. From what i've heard from my rather reliable sources, the Coaches really like what he's brought to the table thus far.

Lost in the shuffle, Adam Dekker suited up for Trenton Sunday. stopped 29 of 32 in a Victory. Then he was released monday.

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

(Off-topic, if a topic remains here, but...)

All of you local Utica fans should perhaps consider attending today's Section 3 final between RFA and West Gennesee at The Aud. (It's gonna be the only hockey we have around here for a spell.)

The two teams have combined for (I think) a 43-1 record, and West Genny has allowed 9 or 10 goals in like, 22 games. (Yes, I will stay true to form and not bother to look anything up.) The same two teams met last year, when Rome's apparent tying goal in the waning seconds was very mysteriously waved-off... I expect some lingering resentment, and a great HS game.

And, at the very least, you 'll have the opportunity to look on in wide-eyed amazement as all the hockey-moms get apoplectic... That's quite a spectacle, in and of itself.

I was in the house Fishman.... got to the barn late, but i did manage to get there. What a defensive struggle.

Low-minor pro hockey is a thankless job. If a guy is around 24 or so (and both Adam and Tim are), he's already been relegated to the hopelessly-behind-the-curve *****-heap, as far as ever getting out of Purgatory.

(That HS game was interesting, in a clinical sort of way... Very rarely do you see a team (WG) choose to play the NZ trap against an opponent that it could likely beat just by going balls-out. I follow RFA (used to teach there) and I've seen them put up as many as 61 shots this season, yet they managed but FIVE vs. West Genessee. That was an amazing display of astute coaching and player discipline. My $ in on them to win the whole thing again this year.)

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

He has 3 SOG's an no PIM's too.

Both of those numbers are startling. I expect they'll change soon, though.

Edit: Still no more points nor PIM after four games... This the same Tim Coffman?

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

So Hobart, who finished 3rd by a mere point in the W RS, and beat 5th-place Neumann tonight, appears to have a good shot at an AL berth.

No question that Oswego will get a deserved invitation as well.

On the other hand, neither Amherst nor Middlebury rates an AL, clearly, but one of them will take up space in the field as an AQ, and very possibly host Hobart in the first round. Elmira might squeak in, but will be doubtlessly be sent on the road as well should that happen, all "bids" not being created equal...

Yes, folks, I predict that the W gets jobbed again!

Hobart just obliterated neumann in every aspect of the game last night. Broadwater was exceptional, Hobart took a couple of questionable penalty calls that they really didnt struggle to kill off. the only problem seemed to be the weak side point for whatever reason. the point man for Neumann(either Gardner, Park, or Lacasse) would get the cross icer and blast it. there were a couple that made me nervous but Broadwater kept his cool. They did pretty well on the discipline front too, Things didnt boil over until about 29 seconds left.

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

When TH did Hobart get so dominant..? Just goes to show that anybody in this league can blow out anyone else on a given night.

The Statesmen were the last guys I was inclined to hang my hat on just a few short weeks ago, but I'm more than willing to ride the hot horse now. Hobart always seems to come to play, whether they're particularly talented in a given year, or not. Hope they go deep in the tournament (assuming they get a bid.)

Um. The field was announced last night. Hobart didn't get in.

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2011-2012

and people wonder why we dont take him seriously in his rants....

Gosh fellas... Sorry to be a few hours behind the curve! How could I have possibly forgotten that the field was going to be announced on Sunday?! (Hard to believe that such a solemn rite wasn't at least given a nod on CNN last night; guess I was out of the trailer tending the still when they covered that momentous news.)

My bad... I have this thing going on that is commonly referred to as "a life". As I understand it, any of you are eligible to give that situation a try, assuming you possess the requisite wherewithal required. (Not betting the double-wide on that, to be sure.)

And, sadly, the bullheads won't be spawning 'til April... But when they do, I'll be happy to mail each and every one of you a WalMart bag full of the tasty little critters. (IM me your addresses, but please exercise a little patience; my computer actually runs on wood, and Uncle Fud is late with the cord he owes me for the jug of corn I fronted him last week.)

Have a scintillating off-season, boys. I look forward to even more of your fascinating rationalizations of the "process" in '12-'13.:)

I'd like to pick up my "WalMart bag full of the tasty little critters" in person, I love'em and I just think, fishing season starts right after THEE season.

BTW, I think you shoud consider swapping out the wood generator for a personal wind generator.
