USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

It's pretty simple...They replied to an email from a Nigerian Prince.

He's King now.

Remember, the Eastern elitists do not believe in the wholesomeness of the Midwest. Easterners know they're right. They will inform you in no uncertain terms that you are woefully in error and need to be educated into correct thought. They have dual citizenship with Talos IV.

Westerners just listen politely and then beat you (except in Olympic years). :D

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

North Dakota vs Lindenwood... an ugly split. Top of the WCHA showing some blemishes the last couple of weeks.

Anyone up for some banter during the break? Has the ECAC caught up? I thought the WCHA was the stronger conference, but after looking at it this way, I've changed my mind. Here are the match-ups, and yes, a couple could be argued in a different order:

. . .
UND vs Colgate
. . .
St Cloud vs Yale
. . .

I think if the top 4 matched up, it's a 2-2 split, and then ECAC goes 4-0 in the next grouping. You?

Still confident about that?

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Absolutely not confident! In fact, can I retract? The only line in my post that is accurate is "I thought the WCHA was the stronger conference".

Are we crowing about the team with that is 1-6-1 in its last 8 games?

Then you've got a gigantic drop and we're really throwing darts. Not really sure any of them deserve to be on the top ten but I have to put someone:

7 Colgate
8 Quinnipiac
9 Robert Morris
10 Cornell

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

1) Wisconsin - It's to the point of asking how this team has lost or tied any games? They are that much better than everyone else.
2) Clarkson - On one hand, Clarkson is 0-2 against Wisconsin and UMD is 1-1 against Wisconsin. But on the other hand UMD has a bad loss to Minnesota State. That tips the scales for Clarkson
3) Duluth - Certainly they have proven a lot this year and deserve to be highly ranked, especially coming off this weekend, but I'm not so sure wins over Minnesota are that valuable right now.
4) St Lawrence - One awesome line and a goalie can take you far. Just how far is the question.
5) BC - Going about their business of devouring a gluten loaded diet.
6) Minnesota - In practice this week the goalies are working on stopping beach balls shot at them and the broad side of a barn was installed at the other end of the rink for players to shoot at. Small steps, baby. Small steps
7) Quinnipiac - I keep thinking this team is going to show something of their ability but I'm still waiting...
8) UND - Sure, they're inconsistent but they play in the WCHA...That's got to be worth something to some folks in flyover country.
9) Princeton - Because Hockey (L)East is so bad i guess ECAC teams fill out the bottom of the poll. Random selection process puts Princeton in 9th and Colgate in 10th, but it could have just as well been Cornell here or 10th.
10 Colgate - Maybe it just a matter of time before they drop out of the poll?

Did the gigantic drop come before or after BC's last second win over last place Merrimack Saturday?
