USCHO Poster's Game, 2010- in the house that Yost Built.

Re: USCHO Poster's Game, 2010- in the house that Yost Built.

PS: Speaking of RIT, those guys were GREAT at Ford Field tonight. Really showed the rest of the crowd what COLLEGE hockey is all about!

Amen to that man. RIT really showed us just how **** special a Championship Game should be treated. :D

Re: USCHO Poster's Game, 2010- in the house that Yost Built.

The RIT fans at the posters game were louder than the Wisconsin fans at Ford Field on Saturday night...no, I am not exaggerating.

There were Wisconsin fans there?

Thanks alpha and anyone else involved for putting on an awesome event. It was a lot of fun, hopefully I'll see you all again next year!

Re: USCHO Poster's Game, 2010- in the house that Yost Built.

Cost update for you all- just wanted to let you all know that thanks to all the extra money that you all donated- we are going be able to donate $125 to the Detroit group supporting youth inner city hockey.

So thanks, all, for your generosity!

And I really apprecaite all of you coming out- it was really a dream of mine to have the posters game at Yosts, especially after getting the rink in Denver. You all made it a great time, especially the cheering section from RIT. You guys were brutal to both goalies :D

I'm really happy that you all had a great time, and I'm *fairly* sure that ice time was not an issue....

For those of you who didn't come- we played 4 15 periods, a long shootout, where everyone got 3 shots and then ended with another 10 min period. It was a great time.

Ok, I fail. For some reason, the above is not the direct picture... Any other places to put them?

All hail the block M!

(not that I'm biased or anything)

Did anyone get a good picture of Statedude with the Winged helmet? We have a good one of BGDave that we will be sending to him.

So who's planning this next year for the Twin Cities.

evilGoalie mentioned after the game he'll try to put it together, and will try for the 'chi. (my pet name for it)

(BTW, your sig needs updated. It's in St. Paul next year, not Detroit.... ;), well, unless winning the GLI is what you mean...)

Re: USCHO Poster's Game, 2010- in the house that Yost Built.

EvilGoalie, who I believe is from Rochester MN, has tentatively agreed to take the lead. Although it was a long time ago, I grew up in the Twin Cities and should be able to provide assistance as needed. If anyone else from Minnesota wants to serve as an organizer next year, by all means make your interest known. Either post on this thread or e-mail me.

Back in 2002, a group from Gopher Puck Live (GPL) hosted the Inaugural Posters' Game. IIRC, those guys played in Buffalo (2003), but haven't participated since. If that group re-emerges, I'd imagine that we'd turn over the game to them and let them do their thing again. But given the long absence, my assumption is that we're putting together a new organizers group, led by EvilGoalie.

On a different front, the On-Ice Achievement Awards for this year's game will be posted later today.

Could this be the return of the great sportscasting duo of GLM/Brenthoven? I've been working on my color commentary. :)
