Whiskey and cigarettes are the answer to retaining the ability to wail

This latest album from last year "Digital Garbage" - man there are some heavy hitters on the sarcasm from tracks 2-4, 6, 8, etc. No holds barred about current politics and social issues. This is why I like Mark.

Evangelical hypocrites
Laying hands on a pile of ****
He doesn't give a **** about your Jesus
He doesn't give a **** about your Jesus
And it's clear that you
It's clear that you
It's clear that
It's clear that you don't either

Boom

Nice! I’ll have to pick that up. Thanks for the heads-up.

I saw Mudhoney in 2013 at a small festival in Minneapolis. They were fantastic. They were super nice guys as well as was Buzz from the Melvins.

It was fun to see them as music fans when they all shot to the front of the stage to watch Die Kreuzen play. Mark Arm stood in front, stage left from the opening notes to the last note of their set.

A whoooole bunch of music dropped tonight. Tyler the Creator, Carly Rae Jepsen, National, Injury Reserve all with new stuff.

Carly Rae continues to be absolutely amazing, by the way. I'm not sure if it's better than Emotion but...that's a *high* standard

Took a little road trip today and had a pretty good string of songs shuffle through, of those I can remember:

Spoon - Who Makes Your Money
The Police - Mother
Mason Jennings - City of Ghosts
Tab Benoit - Night Train
Dandy Warhols - Nietzsche
Young the Giant - Mind Over Matter
Grant Lee Buffalo - Lone Star Song
Cowboy Junkies - Lay it Down
Portugal, The Man - Creep in a T-Shirt
Blue October - Hate Me

The orchestra had a full chorale and played Verdi’s Requiem. It was incredible.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

Been wearing out my XM in my work truck, lately mostly listening/mindless background music of to 90's on 9, Pop2K, PopRocks and Hits1. I used to be a big country fan until it became just "Bro's with Snap-tracks," and would rather listen to anything from the 90's to early 2K both pop or country.

Long opener to get to this: I feel Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" (w/ Billy Ray Cyrus) is more country than the snap track dreck that country music has been cranking out for the last 15 years. Hopefully this is the shakeup country music needs.

The National's new album, "I Am Easy to Find" is great. Better than "Sleep Well Beast" for sure.

Mazzy Star- Seasons Of Your Day.

Always a good day to listen to Mazzy. Good way to calm down, too.
