M83... as much as I can listen to on Spotify. Right now, it's "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming."

Janet Jackson: Rhythm Nation 1814

Such a great album... I've been blasting "Black Cat" on repeat.

And I liked her better than Michael.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

Since starting hormones and a testosterone blocker, I am so much happier, and as such, my music tastes have shifted. Lots more Norah Jones, lots more Cloud Cult, lots more Sara Bareilles, lots more Ingrid Michaelson. I'm even listening to P!nk.

Granted, Radiohead and Counting Crows are still in the rotation, but not as much.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

"When it all comes crashing down
Try to understand your meaning
No one said it would be easy
It's living that ain't easy, now

And you were sewn together with a tapestry of molecules
A billion baby galaxies and wide open spaces
And everything you need is here
And everything you fear is here
It keeps holding you up, it just keeps holding you up..."

Slap Shot, thanks for recommending I get more of them into my rotation.

After the Grammys, I'm convinced Dolly Parton needs to do the SB halftime show.

What I get from that is Andy Summers has the patience of a saint.

Absolutely. There’s a 40-minute documentary about their reunion tour and it’s sometimes painful to watch Andy just want to play and get on with it and Sting and Stewart’s outsized ego’s just obliterate everything in their path.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

I hated the way they let him Sting the arrangements for the reunion tour. I don't might some artistic freedom when artists play live, but more often than not I want to recognize the song and be able to sing and/or bop my head to the song in my head and Sting ruined that for me.

Yes. Saw the second show at Wrigley. Sting completely neutered Copeland so the show lacked the energy and enthusiasm we all wanted. That version of Next To You was as bloodless as friggin Bon Iver if he covered Bread.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

This afternoon, I was belting out "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal in the car.

I have no shame.

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

Saw Bob Mould at the Paradise in Boston Saturday night. Excellent show, but I'd forgotten how freakin' loud live music is, especially when you're only 15 feet away from the stage!! Some old, some new, a bunch from Copper Blue (opened with "Hoover Dam" which is a personal fav.)

Re: USCHO Music Thread: Less Talk, More Rock

I’ve really been enjoying Halsey. Not really sure why but I like her.
