My guess is it will look like this for 2/1/10
1 Platts obviously the best in D3
2 Elmira because they lost twice to Platt
3 Amherst they lost to a low level eastern team
4 Middllebury they have a 5 game W streak with a quality win
5 MVille Gotta have someone from the ECAC E
6 Trinity probably mis ranked
7 Lake Forest can't keep ignoring the current best in the West
8. UWRF Still ranked on name recognition
9 St Thomas Just because they are in MIAC contention
10 GAC would be embarrassing to rank St Kate ahead of GAC

FYI, you can chalk up one of the votes for St. Kate's right here. Here is the poll that I submitted this week.

1- Plattsburgh
2- Amherst
3- Elmira
4- Middlebury
5- Lake Forest
6- RIT
7- Manhattanville
8- Trinity
9- Wis. River Falls
10- St. Catherine

Once you get past the top 5-6, it gets pretty difficult. You could make a case for 5-6 teams to go in at the 10 spot but St. Kate's made a huge strive forward this weekend. Props to them.

1) That's about right. Last year they released the first rankings on Feb. 17th. So 2 weeks seems about right, I believe they come out on Tuesdays, so perhaps the 16th this year?

2) I do not believe so, I have not heard that they will. I know its been a few years since it has been done for D-III women unfortunately.

Not that it's a big deal, but interesting that Plattsburgh lost a first place vote in a week they beat #8 twice and tied #5 in a 5 day period. I'm guessing it's because of using a different voter this week than last....

Yeah. Pretty funny how Plattsburgh ties Middlebury...therefore making them 1-0-1 this season against them...which is the same record as Amherst has against them this season and the same record they had against them WHILE being No. 1, yet Amherst gains two first place votes this week. But when Amherst tied Hamilton, they lost no first place votes. I'm not saying there's a conspiracy...but I'm just saying there appears to be a red allergy for people wearing purple colored glasses

Lake Forest also loses votes...while River Falls stays the same...I don't see how RF is over LFC...but whatever. RIT is too high as well.

Lake Forest will get more recognition next year if they play as well next year. This year they are not a recognized western team therefor get no notoriety. Kind of like St Kate but different

I think one or two wins this past weekend over RF would have solidified LF with the pollsters. From parents I have spoken to, LF had 2-3 girls out sick and the short bench may have had an impact on RF making back-to-back third period comebacks?
