US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

Re: US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

I wouldn't get too worked up over it, if ticket sales in Grand Forks & Burlington are any indication

The 1980/Herb Brooks arena holds about 8,000. They don't open the balcony, and they block off one half of the rink for the media and NGB staff etc. In 2009 there were still plenty of seats available. In fact, it was kinda hilarious, as the Canadian fans were incredulous that the place wasn't sold out.

Final roster tune-up before 4-Nations looks to be in Middlebury VT, Nov 1 at noon, as team plays Finland...no tix needed...donation suggested for local United Way

I went to the game and yes Team Canada pretty much owned the first two periods.
It was a very physical game.
The US finally got something together in the final period & had some momentum up until the end when a fight erupted in the far corner from something that happened with a USA attacker going in the crease & the Canadian goaltender. I was at the east end of Gutterson so it was hard to see what was happening but it tied the officials up for awhile breaking it up & straightening the mess out. Four players left the ice, four 5 minute majors, game misconducts, two from each team. With just under 2 minutes left, Team USA pulled their goaltender for a sixth skater. Team Canada had some chances for an empty netter for a 3-2 final.
I was disappointed there were no team rosters in the glossy $3 World Tour program. For 30 bucks they didn't even hand out a printed sheet of paper with players names. The Gut was far from full, lots of empty seats.

it looks like Jocelyne Lamoureux & Kelli Stack for the US and Tessa Bonhomme & Courtney Birchard for Canada were the guilty parties

funny how the game recaps don't even mention it

and who would have thought the team that went to Sochi to play the Russians would have prevailed over the team that went to California and played games on the beach ;)

Given its a game in October and some of the people who didn't play, I'm not too broken up over it.

One of the Lammy girls ran the Canada goalie and that triggered the scrum.

If you watch the tape, the goalie exaggerated. Mo gets jumped and head bashed on ice. Watch the tape before you comment

Mo Lam ran the goalie. I applaud Canada's #11!

In hockey, men or women, if you run the goalie than your head should be bashed. It's HOCKEY
