I already said with all due respect - don't make me finish the statement.

You're someone that says you want to go live in another country someday, and you should know that I have yet to visit one where 30-40% aren't as stupid as MAGA.

Fair enough. I do know that most people in the world are good. Trust me. But, I find it literally crazy after World War 2 who people will put into power.

WW2 is a distant memory or a wikipedia entry for most people alive today.

We're in full agreement there. I just refer back to the comment (from a movie?) "a person is stupid". Most Muslims don't identify with jihad just like most people don't identify with murder of any kind. I know that's probably simplistic and perhaps naive, but I met too many fine people in the Middle East to lump them altogether.

Exactly. Not that I’m an expert, but the only hardliners I’ve met here are Somalis- and i know some Somali women who are wonderful people.

I just wish non crazies pushed a little harder to shut down the nutters, sometimes. And my trips to Netherlands and Germany remind me that there are some real nutters out there, who get all the attention

Pony ride, castle tour, and lunch with the King will be enough to entertain our big boy Make-a-Wish 79 year old child. The airplane flyover is just icing on the cake.

Jon Stewart's "Trump is a Make-a-Wish kid" bit:

I was listening this morning to CNBC and they were providing play-by-play of Trump's arrival at Buckingham Palace and tour with King Charles. They discussed how much pomp and circumstance was choreographed into this state visit, including extra palace guards, military bands, joint US/UK jet flyover, and a long carriage ride around the grounds of Buckingham Palace because King Charles didn't want to tour London in a motorcade with Trump with the threat of protests.

So listening to the military band play both the US and UK anthems, and the extended clip-clop-ing of the carriage as they circled the grounds painted such a picture in my mind of Trump being as giddy as a 13 year old boy who was handed a two scoop ice cream cone.

Our President is a goddammed Make-a-Wish child.
