No, the Union would dissolve. The social contract broken, there'd be no reason to ship cash from the north to the south.

I understand that there is no more reason for liberals to subsidize conservative morons. I get that. But the entire dilemma of the union for the last 300 years has been that there are humans worth saving who are under the domination of these psychopaths. It has been our mission, until now, to keep saving the few worthwhile from the majority as-sclowns.

Now, we may tire and opt out, and leave them to manage for themselves. Perhaps it would be better since one night would end forever the dominance if not the existence of the Right's cowardly menace. I will say this for the Right: they realize that the penalty for their genocide is... well... the golden rule.

But is that the best way? I'm not sure we want to inherit that humanitarian disaster after justice has been done. I'd prefer we at least try to manage it as a non-failed state.

They were reformable or at least amenable to semi progressive ideals pre-1980. You could work with them.

Now they're the Christian ISIS. They're a cancer. You don't placate cancer. You cut it out. If they start outright cheating and rigging elections for national offices like the senate, I'm not sure what other options you have.

I don't have an alternative either. They have been a threat to humanity for so long at some point we will have to protect ourselves.

I assume the way it could happen is manipulating software like dominion- new articles out recently about why it’s concerning these Trump audits are giving access to crazies.

I would hope states do paper backup but I’m sure some don’t

Seems Taliban were on board with the strike:

Bilal Karimi, a senior aid to the Taliban's spokesman, said the airstrike hit the vehicle near the airport. He said three suspected individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the strike. Karimi said the U.S military had told the Taliban that a vehicle full of explosives would arrive in Kabul and that the U.S. would destroy it.

There's something weird going on with this story. The WSJ is claiming a source said this was the relatively new R9X (bladed) weapon. But experts are all pointing out this doesn't make a lick of sense. There are no telltale blade marks on the car and there's tons of shrapnel pockmarks in the area.
