So much of this (the entire situation, not just aviation one) begs the question "Ok, so let's say Russian 'wins' and absorbs Ukraine. Now way? Who's going to do business with them beyond China and a few others? They're a larger, whiter North Korea."

Plus they'll be fighting a guerilla insurgency for as long as they occupy it. They can't set up a puppet and leave, he'll fall in a day. So then they're the Harkonen on Dune, and the Fremen are everywhere.

They probably ride iceworms.

They've got WWI era rifles, so why not pith helmets?

Except, aren't those English?

I think they've got WWII era helmets, though, to go with those WWI rifles. Getting rid of their old army surplus.

From ISW:

The Wall Street Journal cites an unnamed NATO official claiming that Russia has lost as many as 40,000 troops killed, wounded, or missing of the roughly 190,000 deployed to invade Ukraine.[2] That assessment, which is plausible given previous estimates of Russian combat deaths, must be considered in the context of the assessment offered by an unnamed Department of Defense official on March 21 that Russia had committed a high proportion of its available battalion tactical groups to the war already.[3] The protracting pause of Russian offensive operations in Ukraine and increasing anecdotal reporting of breakdowns in the morale and capability of Russian combat units all accord with these assessments. These reports and assessments collectively suggest that Russia may not be able to find new combat power with which to regain offensive momentum for weeks or even months.

Also, you have to take into account, half or more of those Russian troops aren't fighting forces. They're drivers, supply personnel, logistics and command, medical, REMFs.

Now I'm sure a lot of those types, especially the supply guys, make up part of that 40,000, but how much of their actual fighting ability has been crippled by those losses?

So she doesn't even know. That's almost sad (except she is personally vile, too, so no sympathy).

Can someone explain why this is so funny? I didn't get it- what's the issue? She's complaining about lack of views and it was a week off??? I don't get it.

Tulsi's followers and views cratered the instant Russian troll farms lost access to their accounts. This has happened to most of the leading "conservative" social media presence.

It was all always just a psyop. The whole conservative movement is riddled with outright Russian agents, paid traitors, Useful Idiots, and dopes who have been played by an adversary's manipulation.

They're still dangerous -- there are still 50 million brainwashed stooges out there, and they vote (and kill). And their exposure doesn't affect them because they are inside Vlad's killing jar and will never know. But it's still funny that the "DURR I THINK FOR MYSELF DURR!" boobs turn out to have been the victims of a cheap MLM con.

Yeah I mean this is bad movie level obvious...Russia was able to tear our country apart with a few server farms.

That Tulsi doesn't understand that all those "people" that liked or responded to her tweets weren't real means she A) never read what they posted and B) she is honestly as stupid as we all give her credit for.

It is kind of crazy, I used to always cringe when I signed on to Twitter and looked at what was trending...now it is pretty crazy the shift that has taken place. I can only imagine how unreadable Twitter would be with the SC hearings if the bots still existed.

"But I'm popular!!! Millions of people love me!!!"

I stay the eff away from twitter. I find no redeeming value in it. Although I am signed up, just to occasionally shitpost a fuckwad. Like today, when I tweeted at Ted Cruz what he thought of the bad@ss "not woke" Russian military now, and whether he still thought it was better than the US military. And then called him a traitorous fuck.

I will go to check out posted links to it if they seem interesting.

I only look at twitter posts that people post here. And even those, I have doubts over.

So I'm very much out of the loop when it comes to "popularity".

It looks like Russia is saying they meant not to take Kyiv, and the war is all about protecting Russians in the eastern provinces.

Sure, Jan.
