Re: US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

There was a moment when Kim was asked about human rights by reporters and f-cking Donald Trump steps in before Kim can answer and deflects for him.

Enneagram Type 6. Guaranteed.

Level 6: To compensate for insecurities, they become sarcastic and belligerent, blaming others for their problems, taking a tough stance toward "outsiders." Highly reactive and defensive, dividing people into friends and enemies, while looking for threats to their own security. Authoritarian while fearful of authority, highly suspicious, yet, conspiratorial, and fear-instilling to silence their own fears.

Trump says that NK demanded an end to all sanctions. NK counters saying they requested an end to only some of the sanctions.

Crazy times when you have to weigh whether your own president is being more or less honest than the leader of NK.

But not thin-skinned.

Do you think the wingnuts will ever admit that Hillary was right all along about this guy? Will Sicatoka or Hovey? Any other of the so-called centrists?

I'm guessing no.

Re: US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

If nothing else, this is by far the most petty and thin-skinned administration since John Adams.

Sicatoka is still waiting for a manila envelope to tell him that Trump is actually stupid and not playing 3D chess.

Trump wants foreign nations with military bases to pay "Cost + 50" for the "priviledge" of hosting US troops and military equipment.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Under White House direction, the administration is drawing up demands that Germany, Japan & eventually any other country hosting U.S. troops pay the full price of American soldiers deployed on their soil — plus 50% or more for the privilege of hosting them <a href="https://t.co/WfQSAz3AIY">https://t.co/WfQSAz3AIY</a></p>— Julia Davis (@JuliaDavisNews) <a href="https://twitter.com/JuliaDavisNews/status/1104026606429970437?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 8, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

LOL. Dumpy still doesn't understand that those troops are the Fortune 500's forward deployment force. Somebody from the 1% needs to 'splain to him that it's how they con the US taxpayer into paying for their gunboat diplomacy.

interesting admission here: https://t.co/MkLWs80o4a

EDIT: I post this because i’m Entirely skeptical of the Venezuela (cough, cia coup) story and how we’re soooo interested in imposing freedom and democracy (yes, sarcasm since we have to say it) there but the same people pushing for the coup could not give two flying ****s about Flint, Mi or Puerto Rico or healthcare.

Leave your conspiracy bullshiat in the conspiracy thread.

I read about the cia, they did overthrow mossadegh, arbenz and more and killed jfk, hired Maheu to kill RFK etc. that’s not theory it’s fact. I cannot and will not avoid that anymore.

ALSO, did you even listen to what she said?

Venezuela is a perfect current example of a cia coup.

Re: US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

Leave your conspiracy bullshiat in the conspiracy thread.

I mean, kind of?

Wolf herself isn't actually saying anything conspiratorial in the clip. We do use intel agents working with DOS, DOD, and NGOs to propagandize both foreign and domestic audiences. Remember the DOD was proven to have seeded network and cable news with agents in the run up to the Gulf War to control/create American public opinion.

Every country tries to do this. Ours is really, really good at it because they've been using marketing best practices ever since those practices were invented in the 1930s. This is not news. Governments lie all the time.

Having said which: the over the top conspiracy wrapper is kinda dumb, if only because it takes something real and drapes it in the kind of breathless clicks BS formatting you'd see from InfoWars. ("Well, clearly, presenting it this way is part of the conspiracy..." Yeah, yeah, pass the Iocane powder.)

Likewise, what Carlin is saying is also true. He's saying (1) the rich own our government and (2) the rich don't give a sh-t about anybody but themselves. That doesn't really have a bearing on Venezuela beyond the overarching disgrace of the plutocratic control of our government. Again, I object to Saint George getting the cut rate conspiracy stink on him by his inclusion in this.

Re: US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

Again... kinda.

1. Times have changed. Neither Putin nor Dump actually want a stable socialist or capitalist Venezuela. It is in both of their interests for it to be a failed state roiled with unrest, because that creates the type of violence and risk that strongmen use to tighten their grip on power.

2. DOS, DOD and the intel agencies are still run by career pros who know what they are doing. The politicals you've heard of are morons, and perhaps borderline psychopathic (paging John Bolton), but they don't oversee day-to-day ops and they don't really know much beyond their Hoover/RAND BS theses. Add that this administration both reviles and is reviled by competent public servants, and you get a recipe for absolutely nothing being accomplished. You know that whole Deep State thingamabob that keeps Flaggy up at night? Those are the guys that a rogue rightwing faction within our government used to use to murder a foreign leader* and without them they are powerless.

* or an American President

Re: US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

It's fascinating that Obama was vilified by the right for not saying "Radical Islamic Terrorism" but Trump can't be bothered to call White Nationalists, White Nationalists.

Re: US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

I'm surprised Dump doesn't say, "Now, I don't condone terrorists but terrorists who are inspired by me really get the job done. I mean, 50 dead? That's pretty good."
