US Foreign Policy 2.0: Have you read Kipling, Mr. Tillerson?

So it is a bad idea to get out of a bad idea?

Howd you feel when Obama followed the US-Iraqi agreed upon plan, negotiated by the Bush administration, to draw down our troops in Iraq, and be gone by a specific date?

Something tells me you were against it.

Nope. I've become more isolationist in my old age. And the adage of never getting involved in a land war in Asia is very true.

There's nothing wrong with being a member of the global community. Much of our standard of living is based on it. On the other hand, we can have a backbone towards those that invade independent countries (Russia) while not invading independent countries for no reason ourselves (Iraq).

Along with the economy, conservatives are just pretty bad at this stuff.

Is Donald going to say anything about the American the Russians have captured and are holding? Officials think he was taken to exchange for Maria butina

Trade, trade is always better than war, war.

Moscow hasn't told him to talk about that yet.

Bolton meeting with Erdogan canceled minutes before taking place.
Bolton's meeting with Erdogan was canceled moments before it was to begin, reflecting Turkish anger at Bolton's insistence that those Kurdish forces be protected after more than 2,000 American troops exit northeastern Syria.

Erdogan cited the "local election season and a speech to parliament for not meeting with Bolton," The Associated Press reports. But the Turkish leader also used his speech to rail against protection for the YPG, which he considers a terrorist organization allied with separatist Kurdish groups operating within Turkey.
Well, isn't that reassuring.

Poor Mike.

BTW, I had no idea that Erdogan and Bibi were separated at birth.

It's HTML coding. < img src=[url to image]>

I generally throw a width=400 in between the img and src to prevent giant images from killing the website.

Remove the space between the < and IMG.

Or hit quote on my post to see the magic.

*edit* Some sites like Giphy don't play nice and allow hot linking of images like that.

That's right, I remember now. Thanks.

That and Joe is a day late to the news because that was released a day or two ago. And the EU found out about it in December when they weren't namechecked in their usual diplomatic place at Bush's funeral.

But hey, Joe's gotta get his news from an "approved" Right Wing source somehow.
