UNO at Denver - Saturday 1/12/13

Re: UNO at Denver - Saturday 1/12/13

Loney is a bit of an enigma--has the size, seems to have the skills, but doesn't quite get it going. Had a hot streak last year, but only glimpses this year.

Re: UNO at Denver - Saturday 1/12/13

Turnover by Makowski. UNO converts it on a breakaway. 1-1. LaLeggia to the box.

Re: UNO at Denver - Saturday 1/12/13

UNO ties it up on a breakaway and DU takes a penalty

DU 1 UNO 1 end 1st

One more rip on McCartney and CU: the worst thing I've ever seen at a college football game occurred in Boulder. CU hosting the other big thug program, Miami. As the teams were leaving the field at the end of the first half, a bench-clearing, helmet swinging brawl broke out in the middle of the field on national TV. Jeez it was ugly.

McCartney wanted to make the game against Nebraska the big "rivalry" game. Someone at the Omaha World Herald wrote that for it to really be a "rivalry" McCartney would have to do better than 1-12-1, which was his career record against the Cornhuskers.

He was a boil on the backside of college football.

Saw your post that Wiercioch got the call up to Ottawa. Has a hard woad with 2 young 1st rounders Karlsson and Cowen already in the lineup, but Paddy is Having his best year in the AHL since he left DU. (still think he should have stayed another year at DU)

CU had their best year when they got a 5th down against Mizzou:eek:

Yeah especially since Karlsson won the Norris Trophy last year.
