University of North Dakota... the March past March

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

Very nice, Congrats to UND. The X should be rocking with UMD and UND there

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

I really like the chances for the Sioux in the FF, since they beat the (IMO) second best team in the tourny!
A little miffed at the ESPNU announcers and their praise for Brittain after the Sioux scored 5 goals on him. Dell had one scored on him total in both games.
Also the tired card doesn't play well since if DU was really good they would have taken care of WMU and not needed 2 OT's to do it.

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

Well, I didn't expect that result. I was expecting a overtime thriller. Congrats on a great weekend.

Anyways, and it kills me to say this, this is a very, very good UND team. As good is this team is playing right now I bet you wish the Frozen Four was next weekend.

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

I didn't start to relax until it was 5-1.

Denver will be back next year...count on it.

My anxieties were relieved at 4-1. :) What Sioux fans predicted a loss??? Too much anxiety for you folks. Thx to the Denver and other fans who posted on here their congrats. We appreciate it. Go Sioux!

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

congrats on the win but I hope you guys do the inexplicable and lose in the frozen

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

That was a very dominant two-game performance by the Sioux. No other team in the tournament came close to doing what UND did. They were .2 of a second away from shutting out RPI and DU 12-0. The boys are on a mission. Two more games to go.

Agree. With BC out, I was most concerned with DU. Yup, this is the Final Four - these are the hottest teams right now. But I don't see another team playing at UND's level. And The Sioux don't appear to be taking anyone for granted.

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

Anyone know the Midwest Regional All Regional Team?

I know Dell was MVP, but couldn't tell you who else. I would imagine that Frattin and Malone made the team, along with probably Zucker. You could honestly pick just about any two North Dakota d-men for those two spots, but I wouldn't be surprised if a Denver blueliner got picked.

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

I just got to watch my recording of the game. Nice win Sioux! :) I'm now cheering for an all-WCHA final. Go Sioux!!! Go UMD!!!!

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

UND played awesome. They scored on the rush, they scored rebounds, they scored shorty's, they scored power play goals, they scored empty netters. Anyone else noticing a trend here?

Time to put the nails in old Red's coffin.

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

Only two North Dakota Fighting Sioux teams have won more than 32 games in a single season. With today's win, this Sioux team has 32. This is a chance to finish something special.

1987 Fighting Sioux won 40 games. 1982 won 35. 2011 wins ___.

Does that sound good?

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

We do well at the X. I am feeling good about this Frozen Four. I am confident in the Sioux. I just wish it was next weekend.
The two teams that I was most concerned about, BC and DU, are now gone. The Frozen Four is in the X, where the Sioux should be very comfortable and which will be filled with UND fans. So I agree, I feel good about the Frozen Four. Michigan is certainly a very good team, and if we get past them we'll have another very good team to deal with. But I do think we have to be concidered the favorites in St. Paul.

I relaxed when the score hit 4-1. And yeah, depending on what happens over the offseason with early NHL signings, I'd have to list DU as the early favorites in the WCHA next year.

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

Great effort tonight by the FIGHTING SIOUX!!! The one thing that has really starting to be an awesome thing is all the different goal scorers!! 12 goals 10 different players!! That is what will carry them to # 8. Now bring on the other rodents Wolverines! 1 shift, 1 period at a time!!! SIOUX YA YA!!

Re: University of North Dakota... the March past March

Congrats Sioux! My husband and I have felt for some time now that UND would win the national championship, and the way they dismantled DU tonight was further reinforcement of that. Good luck against Michigan!!

Thanks Suze! I hope we don't disappoint.

UND is the favorite according to oddsmakers. They are giving UND a 50% chance of winning the NC.

Yes, all the teams I felt would challenge the sioux were dropping like flies. I thought Yale, Denver, and BC should have given them a game but we all know how that turned out. So I do think now if they don't walk to the title it should be disappointment.

Not sure yet if I can cheer for them though. Tough call in the MI game. Have to find out when I get there I guess. :)
