Re: University of North Dakota 2014-2015 Season Thread
I suppose it's a positive for the team to come from a two goal deficit in the 3rd and win, if for no other reason than going forward it may give the team something to look back on when they fall into that same position. But all in all I thought there were more negatives than positives in Saturday night's performance.
AF should have been overmatched, as we saw in part of the 2nd and all of the 3rd period. But instead the team came out with a rather lackluster performance. These guys are going to have to figure out how to get themselves started right out of the gate if they want to have some success this year. They're not going to be able to repeat this type of win against better teams like SCSU, Miami, DU, etc...
They dodged a bullet by avoiding a second bad home ice non-conference loss.
They had better be ready this weekend. We've had only limited success in Wisconsin over the years. This should be a desperate Badger club, and I expect a decent crowd both nights. A couple of losses to a team from the Big 10, which looks to be down this year, will not help our PWR at the end of the year. Hopefully seeing an old rival on the ice will cause the boys to come out with a little more fire to start the games.
Not sure I'd go that far. More lucky than anything.Gut check charachter win by the Sioux last night. Nice to be on the good side of late heroics for once.
