UND 4 - UMD 3 final in a classic meltdown.

It was a good 30 minutes of hockey...it's just that UND had a better 30 minutes of hockey.

This team really needs to develop a will to win.

A good victory for the Dogs. Coming back from down 2 one to UND and their current nat'nl ranking does show a 'will to win'. They seemed to have cleaned up their own end a bit as Coach Miller has been wanting and beared down to claw back for the tie and eventual shootout win. Was good to watch.

Bulldogs lose 4 one to the Gophers. Was a great game for the Bulldog faithful. The Gophers are a talented team coached by a good coach. Miller had a game plan and the players executed to near perfection to offset the Gophers. Black played well. The D had great games from the whole D corps. Stalder's talent and play reading was a treat to watch. Morin played very solid blocking out at key times. Skated very well. The forwards played great too. Had jump in their step and were aggressive. Forecheck was relentless which caused many fumbles and errant passes. Hickel and Crossman come to mind here. And as said earlier, as units of 5, played very well in all three zones. Bulldogs dictated play to not allow the Gopher speed and skill to shine through. Was great to watch Kenyon in her last Bulldog game. Was a great leader for the Bulldog group. Looking forward already to next year's squad with the upcoming recruits and what they will bring. The team should improve and will be a contender. Good luck to the Gohpers and NoDak today. Should be an interesting game .......

Interesting to see that Cava transferred from UCONN. Tied for their top points getter last yr. Good pickup for the Bulldogs.
