University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Well Maine didn’t get any points last year down at UNH, with two tries. I would be happy if they come away with any points tonight.

We've looked good in our Friday road games this year, but who knows what happens with no chance for a Saturday letdown

Yeats carried the mail in 99/00 and 00/01 and then they moved to more of a rotation in 01/02. Still hate that Timmy started Yeats over Morrison in the 2002 NC game...

Yeats didn't lose that game, Timmy did by playing conservatively late in the game.

While this is true, Morrison was so good all season that I think he would have benefitted from the change in style in that game.

No disrespect to Yeats but they definitely had a weird rotation toward the end of that season, not sure if it was just to keep opposing coaches on their toes.

If only Doyle would have been eligible.

Morrison looked great the game before in that in the 7-2 drubbing of….. ???? …. UNH

We came full circle

I VERY rarely hang anything on Refs, but Piotrowski’s performance was special. You saw the forearm shiver thrown by Fowler last weekend? That was NOTHING compared to Adam Hauser’s, when he took down a flying Todd Jackson right in front of Piotrowski, in OT, right after Schutte was called for a leg check (correct call, in my opinion).

he also allowed Minny to play a lot rougher than Maine during the game.

BUT…the refs tried to make up for it on a crap “closing the hand on the puck” call against Denver, 2 years later, while Maine was on the PP already. (Bigfoot Hamilton remembers THAT game, I’m sure.)

We need 37 to step it up tonight and hustle.
15 to stop messing around with the puck in the D zone.
6 gives me heartburn.
