There will be an opportunity after the draft with clubs directing player to step up a level. Maybe Carolina tosses us another bone?
With UConn opting in they will likely assure him more money.ouch on marques, maybe someone should refer him to the highlights from march 22nd![]()
Maine had mens soccer when I was there back in 2008. I think they got rid of it a year or so later.Maine should absolutely add men's soccer if that opportunity ever arises in the future! I mean freakin Vermont just won the National Championship and a brand new soccer stadium will open on campus this fall. Duh!
Didn't he play at PC, he sucked back thenMark Divver is now saying Rick Bennett, former Union head coach and current Quinnipiac assistant is joining the Maine staff.
I don't 100% recall the circumstances of his resignation from Union, but remember thinking at the time it was very sudden.Mark Divver is now saying Rick Bennett, former Union head coach and current Quinnipiac assistant is joining the Maine staff.

I am familiar with Bennett's rep as a tough coach but wondering how much of that played into him leaving.

According to this anonymous rumors account he’s getting a head coaching job in the CHL. Congrats to him if it’s true.Does this mean Fortier is leaving?

When I click on it, it says no longer exists.According to this anonymous rumors account he’s getting a head coaching job in the CHL. Congrats to him if it’s true.
It seems like he is over-qualified. Maybe it is a stepping stone. Appears like a great get for Maine if Fortier is leaving.I think I like the Bennett add to the staff. Any time you can get a former national championship head coach on staff as an assistant, I think you take that.
So you agree he gets more money going to UConn. I don’t see how he could be getting less than if he went to Maine. If Maine had opted in, maybe… but seems we won’t know how that battle would have played out since Maine opted out(putting them at a clear disadvantage to opt in teams). My guess is only Vermont, Maine, and UNH opt out. Not sure about Lowell. They may as well. Now, could Marques be getting more NIL money from UConn? Undoubtedly. But Maine can still give out NIL dollars despite opting out.

Soltys is gone, would it be his replacement? It seems like he is over-qualified. Maybe it is a stepping stone. Appears like a great get for Maine if Fortier is leaving.
Link looks like it was taken down so maybe a too-early jump by reporter. That said, I ran into Fortier's dad in-line for HEA final back in March and he was wearing a hat of an OHL team (I think Soo Greyhounds), so a move to the OHL eventually wouldn't surprise me from him.Soltys is gone, would it be his replacement?
