University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

No offense all game long, one beautiful snipe wins it. Boija was stud but really PC had little offense also.

Not anymore, used to be. They made it that getting to OT gets each team a point and then you fight for the third.
So a 3 on 3 win same as a shootout win? I knew their was a reason they should play 5 minutes 5 on 5 like they used to. What about in PWR?

For PWR it counts I think as 2/3 of a win for winning in OT, or something like that. Someone can correct me if I have that wrong.

No, shoot out win just gets you extra HE point but still a tie in the books. Dont think its get you anything for PWR - ??

Maine has taken 18 out of a possible 24 points since the calendar changed. Considering the quality of the opponent and road series at Lowell and Providence, I’d consider that pretty great.

It’s not always pretty but these guys find a way to win. Those were the types of games come tournament time that will pay dividends.

Even more impressive when you consider the injuries they've dealt with. Nothing wrong with "gritty not pretty"

Absolutely.

I (secretly) was going to be very satisfied with a split at PC. This is better.

Last night was a gift, but tonight was all about discipline.

No complaints on my end, either way.

4/6 points down there against those guys is an excellent weekend. This team rocks.

Somewhere, Drew cries in a corner as Maine continues to win.
Probably. He likely sulks when Maine wins these days and longs for the losing Gendron days.

He only seems to come around and enjoy it when Maine loses.

He probably would make a great UNH fan.
