Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

The Republican's and Rush in 2012 presidential race?

On that note.. Saw a great spoof a couple nights ago.

First one had Romney on one knee talking to group of young adults, teaching them how to bait a hook, set a line etc. The second one had Obama throwing fish off of the back of a pick up truck driven by Jeremiah Wright.

Wait four years and see where we are and the future our children have http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hPR5jnjtLo

This should help with the negative rep feedback

Tell me not dirty?? Pfft . . .

You need to watch it a few times but you can definitely see Curadi leave his feet or at least elevate significantly before lowering the boom from behind. Let the spin begin. Thanks for the post.

You can also see that Ghost had shot the puck and THEN Curadi turns and decks him. Definitely a late hit..

I guess this isn't over yet. How about any footage of the Lee hit on Vasaturo? That could well have been a lot more dangerous.

I think he stands up, but he doesn't leave the ice. I think he should have gotten 4 or 5 minutes, but I still don't see how it warrants the game DQ.

That is a suspendable hit and I would be surprised if the ECAC isn't reviewing it.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Wish the ECAC would take a stand and sit him for both games this weekend considering Curadi already has a record of being a knucklehead against Union. He cleary leaves his feet to hit Ghost in the head. The way he delivered the hit looks like a safety hitting a wide receiver over the middle.

illegal hit + pool of blood = DQ

Based on how the young season has started this could be the toughest league road trip of the season. I'd certainly like more but I'd be happy for a two point weekend. I didn't check the previews but I am wondering if Troy is 100 percent. He looked gimpy at the end of the Saturday game after an injury delay.

Very tough weekend. Total contrast in styles and systems/ No matter what happens it will give them a chance to see uptempo style and adjust/deal with it better going forward. They will be better in March because of it. A split would be very good. Harvard is young and very talented, Dartmouth is deep and can score. Goalie will be key

Is Harvard playing more uptempo this season? Last year, at least against Union, looked to me like they neutral zone trapped a lot, quick counter attacks, and a killer PP. Agree that goaltending will be a key - it was the one area last year that U had a decided edge, but am not so sure this year.

Scumbag play by a scumbag player.

Targeting and hurting a defenseless player has to be a priority across hockey. Instead we get mopes that talk about "keep your head up" and "stop admiring your passes" and other stupid garbage like that to justify these hits.

same but with younger players they are more apt to poke and go or cheat on the o side. Should be fun to watch and will be good for team long term, split will be solid. Would not be surprised and expect U to take both

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Excited to see how the team rebounds from an emotional weekend. Harvard is as good as expected, and Dartmouth appears to be ahead of schedule in their rebuilding process. This weekend will probably be the biggest test of the season so far. All three Harvard games last season were tight checking affairs, tonight should be a good one.
