Talking about writing stuff personal about people. Same garbage you keep writing. No one is threatening anyone. Get a grip

This is not an apology. Your words that you used to me in rep speak volumes about you. I repeat if you do not retract your statements, I will ask the administrator to ban you for life. Cease and desist the threats to me and my family. BTW-I have a son with special needs. Aspy is short for Aspergers, a form of autism. Does that make you feel big to threatelittle boy with autism.[/QUOTE]

I apologize. To bad about your son, hope he does well

Now go away and get a life...

Please knock it off. I have a 43-year old son with Asperger's. I've learned to deal with things. This whole subject is getting very tiresome.

We're here to talk hockey. Period.

Then talk hockey. Your son was not threatened. BTW- I hope he is well and I will keep him in my prayers.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

For the sake of fairness I want to acknowledge that both coaches last night said that the Curadi hit on Ghost looked worse than it actually was and I can understand that Curadi's huge size differential may lead to greater scrutiny or even make some things look worse than they are. It's sort of like when my intellect enters the room :D, calm down I'm just kiddding with that last remark. I do however recall his intervention in the Union celebratory playoff gathering post game last year, and have to believe something was underlying that. So far as CJ Lee is concerned, I guess you could look the other way if he didn't have such a pronounced habit of being a dirty player (see Friday night). How a player like that gets a "C" can only be answered by the coach.

As far as the recent dialog above is concerned, I think a few really mean spirited RPI posters, have tainted the majority, some of whom have been heard here in the last day or so and who I have come to respect for their knowledge, and objectivity as well as their passion for their team. I would prefer the civil discourse route so if you enter here, enter respectfully and considerately or expect the rebound effect.

As far as the games are concerned, I think Union answered a lot of questions positively and may be hitting its stride. I am hoping for at least a split next weekend. I am somewhat concerned about Troy's physical condition. He didn't look completely comfortable to me mid second period and seemed to have a hand or wrist issue at least for a few minutes. I was also kind of surprised that RB didn't replace him sooner after he was tended to by the trainer.

A great moment for me last night was when Dillon Pieri came in late in the third saw his first action and then was mobbed by his teammates at the conclusion of the game. Being a third string goalie is often a thankless but necessary job and you could see the support coming out from his appreciative teammates.

BTW, I can't remember the last time I saw five goalies in one game. I thought Kasdorf looked very solid, perhaps the best of their three, and he is a big boy.

Agree with all your comments Wholin. Dont though feel that Union HC said it was a clean hit. Used careful coaches words to downplay it and move on.

Good point but Ghost also didn't seem too irate. I'm just glad there was no serious injury.

You might want to practice what you preach by not defending a man who threatened a little boy with autism. Civility, right!!!

How was I defending HK?

Show me in my posts where I did that?

I specifically talked about getting respect from Union fans that mean well.

HK is obviously trying to stir the pot, but I'm not taking his bait. I already posted about how I feel about RPI and it's academic reputation. I stand by that endorsement.

I didn't see what was written on your rep so I can't comment on its validity. If a threat was made, then shame on the person who made it. That garbage can leave any time.

However, your statement about cutting and pasting what was "said" doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the truthfulness of your statements based on your comments and reasons for trolling on our thread.

FYI, my best friend from Union and my roommate for two of the four years has a son with severe autism. I cherish every day I spend with that remarkable boy and I donate to his special school in Boston every chance I get.

Do us all a favor and quietly leave before you embarrass yourself even more.

Civility and class are a two-way street.

Keith.

He is a very high end player and quality kid....... he answered the stupid play as expected, with a point..... that play was the catalyst for thecwin.

I would also like to comment that I am relieved to hear that Doc and his wife survived the storm. I have only had one or two interactions with him on here, but he has always been respectful and fair to me and I appreciated that.

I have felt guilty at times this past week enjoying nice, autumn days here in Oregon while my friends back East have been through the wringer.

I also wanted to echo the comments on here about how well the Union D stepped up this weekend after the loss of the Captain. It speaks volumes about the coaching staff and the character of the players on this year's team. I remember last year, the team struggled a bit in the early season before they found their stride and their identity. I was encouraged by this weekend's play as to the chemistry and the identity happening this year.

Looking forward to the any kind of video feed for this weekend's games.

Keith.

Appert said clean hit and his guy kept arms down and did not extend. That is a BS statement by the looks of Ghost's cage. Large dent in front. Back of Head slammed to the ice. I don't know how he wasn't concussed. Kid has stitches on nose.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

All of you please enjoy your 1 number 1 vote this week and the rest in the poll from your home town writer...As for the rest of the weekend it is over and we will see what happens down at the TUC. Good luck to you the rest of the season so we can meet up again in the ECAC finals..

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Glad we got out of tonight without any more injuries. I hate to say it, but I really lost a lot of respect for Appert and RPI tonight. What Curadi and Lee (the captain no less) did tonight was reprehensible.

On to Harvard and Dartmouth next week, both teams have had strong starts, should be a good measuring stick for the season. Let's go U!

What, being too tall is reprehensible?

Has nothing to do with being too tall, he ran Gostisbehere with nothing but malice. The guy has a history of doing boneheaded stuff (end of last year's playoff series) but he's a hero to your fanbase because he's huge and his mom posts here. He's nothing special as a player, doesn't play big unless he's trying to injure (that's what that hit was, don't let coachspeak from RB fool you) and wouldn't ever crack the lineup for at least half the teams in the ECAC.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Jeremy Welsh and the AHL Charlotte Checkers give back:

<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PVnZxosTjlE?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PVnZxosTjlE?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

On the former players front... Welsh has 2 goals and an assist in 9 games this year. Julseth-White (Las Vegas - ECHL) notched his first pro goal the other night. He had no goals in four years at Union. Overall, he has 5 points in 7 games this year. He had 4 points all of last year for Union. Mingoia has a couple assists in 4 games for Tri-City (USHL).
