Union College: 2019-2020

Re: Union College: 2019-2020

Well:
That is all she wrote. We put up a good fight I guess. In the two overtime periods, we got off a total of two shots. Finished 55th in the pairwise. On to next year. It looks like maybe only two ECAC teams make it to the big dance.

Kudos to your goalie, he stood on his head all weekend. Also, Rinaldi was the best player on the ice, just no support. Good luck to the seniors.

I thought that was a very marginal call to disallow the goal scored in OT. Union has not been getting much luck with goaltender interference calls this year.

We have not unfortunately. I am hopeful the scoring will improve next year with Jack Adams filling Rinaldi’s spot, a full year of Parker Foo, a new freshman class, and everyone else coming in with more experience. I hope the returners remember this moment and come to campus ready to go next year. If we start scoring 3, 4, 5 goals a game, the refs won’t have the opportunity to give the marginal calls to opposing teams.

Also, Hanson is one phenomenal goalie and a great leader. If we can improve the scoring, the potential is there for a big year.

Once again, one of Union's better recruits has jumped the ship. EliteProspects now has AJ Hodges going to Michigan State.....

Any thinking about next year? Will there even be school on campus?
I read Jack Adams is skating at full strength and is ready for his senior season at Union, and hopes to sign with the Red Wings after. It looks like we have eight forwards and two defensemen coming in, so another large freshman class. Hopefully this means more offensive options for Rick and Fineman can go back to defense lol

Re: Union College: 2019-2020

I hope we don't have to skip another season. It would be nice if the NCAA did something around eligibility we we do.

After transferring from Northeastern, Blackmun was rostered and played 10 games for Union during 2019-20.....

Another goalie coming in? We already have 4 on the roster now. Is Hanson leaving early?

Re: Union College: 2019-2020

College Hockey News has put up our roster for 2020-2021 complete with incoming freshmen.
Do we know for sure who is coming?
Can someone look this over and tell me if it looks ok?
33 Players?
4 Goalies?
Which freshmen are expected to make it into the starting lineup?
How come so few Canadians?

From past experience with RPI rosters, it is mainly based on Chris Heisenberg's list which often has players coming in the wrong year.

Any news about next year? September is just three months away. Many schools in the Boston area I believe including Harvard, will only have "on-line" classes in the Fall. Has the NCAA or ECAC announced any restrictions? Policies?

I believe that they are still moving ahead with the expectation that they will be heading to school at the end of August. I have heard that some of the Seniors are moving in to their rental house in a month or so. Only time will tell what September will bring

No mention what his role he will play at Dartmouth. Will he be an assistant head coach? It would be nice to find someone who could step into Bennett's shoes if he retired.

His Twitter bio reveals the answer: he's the associate head coach with the Big Green.
