After 11 games we are 55/60 on the penalty kill. Much work to be done on special teams.

Off to Belfast next. Yale and BU or UCONN. Both Non-Conference.
Much improvements to make, especially on special teams
Ranked so we will be a target ... will see the best of our opponents.
Nice scoring depth ... good speed ... everyone is getting in the act.
For the most part avoiding penalties.
Four scoring lines? Shades of 2013/2014?

Great Night for the non-Ivy ECAC and Harvard !!!!

Clarkson beat Michigan Tech 3-1
St. Lawrence is leading Minnesota 3-1 after 2
Colgate Beat Princeton 2-1
Qpac beat Cornell 4-2

Also, Harvard beat Arizona State 4-1

ECAC won or is winning all non conference games !!!! Got to keep it going !!!

In non-conference we are 7-7 vs Hockey East and closing in on .500 overall. Way too early to tell for sure. Will have to wait until January to get a better picture. The better we can do in non-conference play the more of our ECAC teams can make their way into the tournament. :)

SLU did beat Minnesota in OT. Very nice non-conference night for the ECAC.
I'm not sure what your point was about 'non-Ivy ECAC and Harvard.' Harvard's still Ivy, right?

Union College hockey posted on Facebook that it will also stream on ESPN+

"The boys have arrived in Dublin! Four days until game day. If you’re not making the trip across the pond, the games this weekend will be televised by NESN and TSN (check local listings for channel info), while ESPN+ subscribers will be able to stream the games as well!"

First Game is Friday at 10:00 am EST

This weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun) the ECAC has 8 matchups with Hockey East in the USA and Ireland. The ECAC inter-conference record against HE thus far this year is 7-7. What will it be after this weekend? 7-15?, 15-7?, 11-11?
Can RPI take at least one from ML? Yes 2-1 in first Game
Can Q take 2 from Maine? First one 7-2
Can Union and Yale take at least one from BU, UConn? Yale up 6-3 with a few minutes to go
Can Princeton upset UMASS?
Can Dartmouth take out Vermont?

I thought that Yale outplayed us, outhustled us, and was the first to the loose puck. They seemed at home on the larger ice. We looked confused. They outshot us 35-22. Yale was also the faster team. So much for our speed advantage. They scored with a 5 on 4 after we stopped them on a 5 on 3. Hanson saved our butt again. He is 1.97 - .935 through 5. If we play like that tomorrow, BU will take us to the wood shed.:(

Our goalie, Darion Hanson, has stolen a couple for us this year thus far. How about the rest of the team "stealing" one for him? Enough of the "pond skating" and tourist crap. Yale beat us bad in time of possession and spent most of the game in our zone. Lets get down to business. No more standing around. BU is, as always, loaded with talent and they have a great goalie. They will be a top 10 team. If we play like we did against Yale we will get our asses kicked.

A BG sorry as they laid a big egg last night vs Vermont! This team is Jekyl/Hyde thus far this season!

Time to start thinking about Brown
We do poorly after a success (Ireland)
We do poorly on Fridays
We have not skated in a while
Brown always plays us hard
Brown is second (ECAC) in penalty killing
Most Brown games are close and no one has really blown them out.
Nieto is a veteran Goalie and he can steal one for Brown
Our special teams are terrible
We cannot continue to expect miracles form Hanson.

We have 4 matchups in December. Brown, Yale and Canisius (at home) twice. There is no way we are going to underestimate Yale after Ireland or Canisius who beat Clarkson. We need to focus on Brown, Period 1
